It totally socks that people are hung up on the "Confederate" part of their name when the main influence should be on their music. The name don't matter-- the important thing is the music.

Back in 05 I worked security at their New Years concert. Danny Shirley came up to me prior to the show and asked "Well Josh, what songs you wanna hear tonight?" I told them this one and they rocked it out; literally bringing the roof down!!!! AWESOME band as well as an AWESOME bunch of guys!!!!!

It makes sense: Let's say my name is George Strait and I have a great song that I wrote and would like to sing it. Well I wouldn't be able to sing it because it's original material however since I've done it before or in other words a recorded song for record label I would then be allowed to sing it.

Damn, almost 3 decades later and I still love them. I grew up on the outlaws, Alan Jackson, Aaron Tippin( dated my uncle's ex) and these guys. I don't understand how these modern day "country artists" can get away with claiming they're country, it's a shame. I'll throw in big and rich as an example. Piss on it.

After Garth Brooks broke through , a lot of talentless yuppies traded in their Paisley ties , yellow shirts, and tried to be Country . They weren’t. Confederate Railroad and Kentucky Headhunters were the exception . Brilliant bands . Too bad about the extreme PC going after CR . I mean ,hell, their logo is cool and so are their music and videos and I grew up a Progressive English Rock fan

Nah. Did you see that joint? It was dark out, and the main sign never was wired for light. The neon sign just said "PEN", because the "O" was burnt out. Hell, it's a locals joint; been there for decades. Everyone knows where and what it is, and how to get there. He just happened upon the place, since he was traveling backroads.
