still my fav band after all these years, think I got everything they ever recorded or close to it, they still kept killing it even after country music died, great album covering the legends, AJ, Joe Diffie, Waylon etc. stuff like Bible and a bus ticket home, Whiskey and women, What brothers do, so underrated its hard to believe

My father had fist fight with his dad at 14yrs old. My father left home at 14 and made his life. Both my grandfather and father were alcoholics. Both eventually found Jesus. In Jesus they repaired that relationship. I knew nothing but love from my granddad and father and between them for my 16yrs when grand past from cancer. But I got to see there relationship as only posative. Jesus Christ fixed that brokenness in my father and his.

CR just played in my hometown last night. They mentioned, for some random trivia this was Mickey Mantle's favorite song.

I've heard Danny Shirley say this is his favorite song they have recorded. Sadly this is someone's true life story

The ending where it flips to the preachers play on the words took on a new depth.

A lot of these guy's songs have a kinda light hearted tone(Trash Women, Bill's Honky Tonk Laundromat, Bar, and Grill) but they're at their best when they're doing serious stuff like this one or Notorious.

Loved Confederate railroad. I remember their hits, "Queen Of Memphis" and "Trashy Women" got a lot of radio play. Great request and reaction Ken and Don!

Thanks Ken for this super request. This is a fabulous song, one of my faves of theirs. Great band from the 90s; yeah I know I'm still stuck back there. Thanks Don for the excellent reaction!

Another of their songs that hits hard (not as hard as this one though) is Notorious. It wasn’t a single but the title track from their second album. It’s about a guy & his girlfriend on the run after he kills a convenience store clerk.

I liked that song. Who would of thought this deep of a song would come from a band known for "Trashy Women". Another good reaction/review. I do disagree on one aspect of it, a boy doesn't need the love of his father. I never had any love from mine and I grew up fine (Don knows my story)
