I've missed seeing you on with John or Roxy watching a movie. I've been in your shoes, I watched Big Brother from season 1 or 2 until a season in the teens, can't remember which, and following year back to watching until 3 years ago. I quit. I finally asked myself, do I know anyone, nope, if my favorite wins they gonna share some of that money with me, nope. What exactly am I gaining by watching, not a single thing. That helped me to finally give it up, hope it helps.
Hey there, Tara!! 🙂 So glad to see ya again. Lol I know, right? Sometimes it seems like every person in these shows is that one single guy, girl, brother, sister, ect., you know that just can't help but put themselves in the same toxic situations, over and over, but always seem to think the literal definition of insanity is going to work out just fine for them this time... 😄 Sadly, I think show creators know that, while most folks are obviously frustrated by this, they can't help but stay involved. Whether through their own experience, or research, or both, it's as if they're using our own human nature against us. It's like an itch we can't scratch. That's why some of the most successful shows ever, at least in part, use this formula. It's likely also why you don't often see it movies. It has to be painfully drawn out and repetitive. Just keep telling yourself, "It's just a show. None of these people are really being hurt..." @@TaraErickson Yay! Well that’s great to hear. I also had long covid. It SUCKED! I had to slowly get active, then get highly active again, and that helped. It’s not easy and I understand how you’ve felt. Sometimes I still put on a mask even though it sucks. Well great to see you back lady! Take care of yourself. 🙂
