The David Susskind Show (1958 - 1986) was television's most ground-breaking talk/debate show. Susskind was the first to bring on multiple guests, whether they were political figures or call girls - together on a set to have no-holds-barred debate of current issues. Susskind's show was the first to offer wide-open, unrestrained conversation about issues of the day. Celebrities, politicians or regular civilians let their guard down and talked freely about themselves.
Guests included Phil Spector, Neil Simon, Neil Diamond, Gore Vidal, Truman Capote, Nikita Krushev, Stanley Carmichael, Lillian Hellman, Bill Cosby, Mel Brooks, Marlon Brando, Steve Roebel, Robert Kennedy, Paul Newman and many more!
The Susskind interviews are among the most in depth and intimate of their day. 1100 shows transferred from their original 2" video masters.

Aaron Frampton that just goes with the job. Typically they edit the repetitive questions out. But the way he’s questioning is common practice. In fact they probably edited out even more repetition. They do that to get a more desirable answer and they just keep asking until they get an answer closer to what they want, or in some cases where it gets heated, the interviewee walks out.

@@@jaykudie. It's the world of crime. I'm sure there was/is no "going rate" chart. It most likely depended on who was hiring, who the hitman was and who the target was. If a guy welched on 10 grand, you're not going to pay 15 to kill him. Plus, I'm sure there are plenty of bottom feeders taking any amount they can get. Because they're on drugs, gamble or are in debt themselves.

No he's not, he's a moron and most of them are dumb as a post aside from knowing how to hustle. These are street guys who resorted to a life of crime because they had no real prospects to succeed elsewhere. Even most mobsters' kids, especially these days, want their children to be legitimate successes without having to resort to the life of their fathers. This guy being interviewed kills people and shakes hard-working people down for a living.
@ripdiptatterchip3851
@ripdiptatterchip3851 5 лет назад
Anemone his knowledge makes him smart listen to what he has to say again. he wouldn’t have been able to kill so many and get away with it if he wasn’t a smart man, now you could say a smart person doesn’t kill but that’s always up for debate
@nickm.3671
@nickm.3671 5 лет назад
@@ripdiptatterchip3851 It's not about being smart. He's not an intelligent man; he operates within a secret society (ie: the mafia), in a much different time than now, where you could get away with things much easier. They cover for each other, nobody snitches, civilians are afraid to go to the police and/or threatened, and it's not like if you or I went to kill someone these days that we'd get away with it. I listened to the interviews, being a good criminal doesn't necessarily mean you're smart, he just grew up being told how to do something, when to do it, and how to get away with it. Plus it's much harder for police, again, especially in those older days without forensic technology and stuff, to connect a murder to someone they didn't know because the murderer was told by someone else to do it.

@deltacos3187
@deltacos3187 5 лет назад
Anemone Most people like this were brought up in it; he never was taught anything else. Back when these types of wise guys were at the top of the world, all the kids in the neighborhood wanted nothing more. It was the ultimate sign of “making it.” You could get more money and respect doing this than anything back then. Have you ever watched Goodfellas or read Wise Guys? It’s a true story you should look into. No disrespect, but it’s a secondary source that’ll lay it out for a millennial novice like you. You did not grow up or stay in Northeastern America during this time. You’re mistaking morality with intelligence. You talk like anybody could get away with this back then, which truly shows how clueless and naive you are. I definitely know you’re not from the same place I am. You’ve been taught a textbook version of the world and think you’re the smartest person in the room. That’s the classic millennial that doesn’t have any real life experience for you, but laughably talks about something they clearly didn’t grow up near. Shocker!

The beginning part about his brother taking his own food and putting it on his plate to eat and his wife dying being the day that he died is some of the realest things one can hear as a man and know that this is all you need to really gain both respect and devotion for somebody and also to lose your mind and interest in life. Those are the only things that stood out for me where I could relate and regardless of what the man had done, that a harsh truth of life that we can all feel. Respect from Los Angeles.

Respecting human life and saying killing someone’s is wrong or bad that is a philosophical discussion. On one hand murder is wrong and on the same hand the state sanctions the death penalty. That's facts bro, humans have NEVER had a time in history where we didn't kill other man. From the prehistoric times using rocks and stone spears, to the medieval battles, to world war 2 to Afghanistan, Iraq etc etc. War has always been human nature, we are territorial apes. Gang warfare is tribal warfare, countries are just large United tribes, so their wars are also tribal in nature i.e resources, land or revenge. Murder is terrible. But only when it's innocent people, be that in war, or civil life.

Max Kushner, this guy, his older brother was a police officer. Just think about that for a minute. Max was killed himself so the life caught up to him. As far as I could find online they haven't found who did it.
