I saw her dancing in the middle of the crowd after their performance in a festival and she was dancing the same way which i found very cool so i went to tell her that i loved it and she was so nice to me it made my day, then i ran away like a scared little girl
I'm a 70 yr old guy and I'd run away too as I'm in awe of Janet Planet ! Although when you see her interviews she's so warm and open and devastatingly pretty.
This band is perfect for live shows in clubs, festivals...etc. They are enjoying the performance, not taking themselves seriously, sound is great and its fun to watch them dance and dance with them. I agree, there is not much art in their music and lyrics, but I guess, that was not their intention. The beats and bass lines are strong and catchy, what makes the crowd jump and enjoy time with them. I had a perfect time on their gig and I would definitely come to see them again ;)
just look at the fun and energy in this crowd. THAT's how you do it. hate all you like,. this lot raise the roof. i'm jealous i wasn't there and i'm 49 and haven't been raving since i was 28
I'm in awe of these guys! Absolutely love it! The song, the beat, the dance moves, the vocals, the drumming, the choreography, the clothes (or lack of)... EVERYTHING!! I'm not young by any means, but this is the best "live" stuff I've seen for so loooooonnnnggg. It's a "feel good" song and video... I smile, and groove all the way through it... Come to Adelaide... I'll be there for sure....
Thank you to whoever originally shared this clip with me way back when. I've since bought the album and seen them live. New favourite band. I'm delighted that some people hate them. Exactly how it should be. Exclusive. You can't be in our fun gang.
4:11 onwards makes me smile so much, it's just so much fun -- their interactions with the audience are consistently amazing -- in their glastonbury set they got right in the crowd's faces and had to scramble back onto the 5ft stage -- according to the guy who introduced me to confidence man, janet spit in his mouth in 2019 -- just so goofy and exciting
Wow a lot of non-love here - each to their own though - I saw these guys first at Golden Plains this year and they totally rocked. I even ended up seeing them at the Corner Hotel after that and they were awesome - lots of energy and everyone was up dancing like crazy....
Music is about entertainment. This performance is very entertaining. Thanks Confidence Man! If you find anything negative about this video, you just don't get it.
shit.. does no one understand that this music is literally only to be enjoyed while dancing to? The show and music is designed around the concept that everyone will be continually dancing.. hence the crazy dancing throughout the whole set, the simple beat and lyrics, the fact that she keeps telling everyone to dance. In the end she tells everyone to sit and then jump up and go nuts, everyone in the entire tent participates.. If you are talking shit about the dance moves, fact she's not singing, how theres no talent you have completely missed the point. look at the fucking croud!!!
Fantastic live band, discovered them at a festival after a recommendation from a friend. Have since seen them on tour. But do not agree it’s purely for dancing to. Yes their live sets are amazing and get everyone dancing, but you can listen to this at home as well. I think there music is way more impressive than they get credit for.
this video does them no justice, I saw them at Groovin' and can confirm that they are x10000 more amazing live... I had to sit down and do stretches after their set because of how hard I boogied, so fucken groovy
Same here - saw them live last night and no video can convey their wild infectious energy n beats. This and this years Glasto vids convinced me to go. I'm 70 with a knee soon to need replacing, major breathing problems but the adrenaline rush and dance endorphins they create had me dancing like crazy for the whole set. Best party EVER !!! If you love their tunes and not seen them yet find out when their tour hits your city/country. You'll never forgot that night😎
So these guys are giving it a go and triple J picked them up and started promoting them. Some people liked them and some people didn't, no big deal. Then a comment was dropped after splendor about Confidence Man being "the best up and coming live band", a pretty ambitious statement, sure, at the end of the day just an opinion. So people cracked the shits big at this and started saying shit like "what a disgrace, what about (this band that I like)?" Again, fine, just an opinion. Then the people started turning their hostilities towards Confidence Man themselves. Confidence Man did nothing wrong here, you're all angry at them because of something a third party said. Exactly like people hating Jeff Horn because the judges gave him the decision. You're all dog pilling on the hate bandwagon because you saw the backlash by a bunch of butthurt unsuccessful bands. Before Triple J made the comment Confidence Man got almost entirely positive reviews from the public. If you don't believe me, go and check out another Confidence Man video on youtube. Almost perfect like to dislike ratio Confidence Man are giving us a unique and ambitious sound, which I love. You nasty comment writers are fucking philistines and sheep.
Matt Watt that's why they are getting the hate, it's a simple fact :P But I agree, Triple J did make a big call calling them 'Australia's best up and coming band' which I personally don't agree with, but at the end of the day, opinions are like noses, everyone has one
Opinions are like assholes Everyone has one And they also think they dont stink . I just heard them on the Js Needed more so youtube scratched that itch . Thank C.M. for a great show
Can't go a day without watching this great footage. Shame the single I hear on BBC 6 Music doesn't mention the BF's aversion to eating out. Janet, here to serve!
Took me 2 viewings to get that reference but soon as I did - think her graphic crotchgrabbing is the giveaway - and couldn't stop laughing.Great song and having just seen them live the sitting down then jumping up is the best part of how they involve their fans !!
Listening to the track on Spotify yesterdayI notice that edited out of the track and lyrics shown 🙄 Jeez - can't adults and kids bought up with smartphones handle what women enjoy !
In their song Bubblegum she sings the line " i wish...I had...someone to rub my body on" - and you know every man and woman is secretly thinking CHOOSE ME 🤣🤣
imagine having terrible music taste to think this is amazing, yes they would definitely put on a good show (i guess) but this is terrible music besides the drumming. it’s one of those bands triple j wants to make big so they make big so they start playing in non stop until people start thinking it’s good.
This is amazing. I am fan of disruptive music, of ultimate fun to be on the edge of misbehavior, yet get away with what you do. Looking at their live performances lately, and not getting enough of it yet, that's how good they are for me. And, yep, I know things they reference as their influence - say, Groove Armada, they were very creative with dance music, very successful by setting distinctive, creative patterns into it. Also, "C,M" themselves name it punk'y - which is pretty correct, at the same time escaping templates, that have been impressed into "expected punk" appearance. Good stuff to enjoy, see open horizons for this one.
I dont know this band....but this performens and song ROCKS!! Hahah its so fun to lisen too! LOVE IT! Normally I lisen to R&B kind of music.. but I actually like this 😂👌🏼
Im a metal head t hat is also into grunge and alt rock. But i do find this song quite catchy. Yeah sure they may not be everyones cup of tea but ay they are good at what they do and everyone here is having a good time. I kinda wish i wasnt too busy getting drunk in the carlton dry tent and actually watching this in the tent. But King Gizz, QOTSA and Dune Rats totally owned the weekend though
All you guys shit-talking them wouldn't realise they're a supergroup of talented musicians from successful/semi-successful Australian bands. It's a decidedly fun side-project that has gained a cult following.
One of them being the Jungle Giants I think, who have been very popular on triple j in recent years. I first heard of this song from an IKEA ad in Australia (it’s a simple fact 😉)
I saw them live last night and - like others nearby too - had pure tears of utter joy at the end. They make you feel so alve and happy after all the shite of Covid etc
