Great content! Cisco has some really nice IP phones. As an MSP, we used them a lot initially with 3CX (which was a good solution for a while) and are now using Cisco phones (alongside others) with Thirdlane Multi Tenant PBX-best bang for the buck!
At around the 1:24 mark you state that plugging in the Ethernet cable will provided power to the phone. This makes it seem very clear it is PoE only rather than using a power plug in a wall outlet. Is my understanding correct? 3 years ago I had a choice of an Aruba JL682A Smart Instant On 1930 24G 4SFP/SFP+ Switch or/rather [than] the Aruba JL683A Smart Instant On 1930 24G Class4 PoE 4SFP/SFP+ 195W Switch and my decision was a very poor one because of the lack of Power over Ethernet in the switch we selected blocks all such use... This because what you seemed to be clearly stating that PoE is required for use of this Cisco 7821 VoIP telephone system. Is this correct? Is my assessment/understanding correct, or nay?
Very informative video, but there is too much noise in the background.. ofcourse you are in your lab I can understand, but will recommend to use a microphone to record your voice, as we can barely hear you..
