Note: The audio around 0:40 bugged out and no sound was able to be heard in the recording, so I edited it out. Basically talking about real life events, some of why I wasn't uploading, etc. Edit: a couple small audio bits cut out which is still in the video. That will be fixed and prevented in future videos.
It's gonna be exciting when you main Navy and your allies main Aircrafts, that would be a good combination if friendly air can land on ally AC. You can focus leveling up AC instead of leveling AC and aircrafts. AC is useless if you don't have a solid air units
I fought a Coalition in a server one time, they were the European countries, and in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, they were running around with these 10 stacks of fully up graded Corvettes. They were launching cruise missiles from them, they kept them near the shore, and really did hit and run tactics with them and in those ten stacks they were hard to deal with even with a five stack of Cruisers. Really changed my mind on the Corvette
I’ve had the joy of adding a carrier to my fleet twice. The 2nd time I was playing as Italy and the final battle for the game in South America I had my carrier group as well as another whole task force, Greece had TWO carriers, and Germany had his carrier there. I also moved a lot of AA and missile defense to the area and it became a buildup race until I did the first hit on his capital in a surprise attack with my stealth bomber and leveled it. The game was over in about 3 days after that
I think corvettes are GOATED for island nations, if you are researching really heavy into navy. They cost supplies rather than components, which means if you focus on electronics production you can get loads of corvettes along with loads of other ships. They really help with total naval domination imo
Don't apologize for not uploading bro. We get you. Every video is highly appreciated, love the content. Kinda the only person with such deep knowledge on the game passing it on.
Love the videos nick! Don’t feel rushed to make them if you aren’t feeling well. also I’d love a series on what to do in the first ten days of starting a game❤️
@@conflictofnick3578 I also like a series for the middle of the game or the late game OR how you make some stacks or scout an enemy and change tactics acording to what he has !
Aircraft carrier is used for just for fun (up until this update march 2022). Rather than leveling max aircraft carrier tech tree, I would prefer make 3 of them in a convoy so they can host 15 aircraft for mobile air superiority. Yeah but the downside of that is you must protected it with at least decent amount of frigate-destroyer-cruiser. Please take a note, this gameplay only suitable if you have game friends 😂, like I'm focusing all at the navy while my friend focusing on ground unit. Conclusion: Use the Aircraft carrier for fun, not for versatility 😂
Corvette is good to intercept transports. It would be nice if the carrier could host the same amount of friendly aircraft as of its own. Also should have a little bit more of self defense (real carrier have a lot it).
I wish that they would make naval airborne units that would utilize the aircraft carrier. Or give infantry the ability to be carried by the aircraft carrier this would make this thing very useful
I agree with that. It would make some juicy Air assault divisions extremely viable. Use cruisers to shell cities of AA and then drop in air assault teams to finish off what's left
@@11am2i understand what you’re saying. But if that was the case it’s very unrealistic that ships don’t stop to refuel or rearm their weapons. Like aircraft do
Excellent explanation of ships. I usually begin with about two corvettes, or anywhere from one to four, and never level those up. Any corvettes that survive I just use to "plug up holes" or defend some coastline. I hadn't thought of using them in a stack to detect subs. I may try that.
I love what you're doing here! Seems like there's only a very small handful of CON content out there and I've been trying to get breakdowns on units since I started playing in 2020. I'd love to see individual unit videos with some game play as well. Stumbled across this one 13 hours after you made it! Like I said, loving it so far man. Keep em coming for sure and don't worry about the pace, man. Times have been difficult, and your personal needs are more important than this game. From California, God bless!
nice video I share your oppinion about the carrier. Another feature i would like to see on a carrier, that you can land/air assault airmobile infantry, to conduct and air assault over sea.
Awesome video Nick, I agree with the Aircraft carrier issue it would make sense for friendly nations to be able to land planes on each others carriers though at the same time I could see where that would be a problem if the player that landed the planes went inactive or the person who owns the aircraft carrier got it sunk and took everyone’s planes down with them
There are certainly ups and downs. Trolls are everywhere, even in CoN, or sometimes, as you said… it can simply be no trolling at all. Just inactivity.
Like the video but I disagree with your opinion of the aircraft carrier. In my experience I have had them a few times. One tactic I like them for is I can use the strike fighters to locate enemy ships quick without having to move my fleet also naval strike fighters do a good damage to ships and hit faster then a stack of ships could.
For corvettes, sometimes in late game especially solo your enemy have crazy cruise missiles and aircraft and with submarines, those corvette can be used as a submarine scanner for a cruiser stack, and can protect coastal cities. Otherwise will waste a lot of component during supply surplus on destroyers instead of more useful cruisers and frigates. Helps me win a USA solo against a golder recently. And SLAVA UKRAINE.
Oh so we can use the corvete as Coast guard at homeland or .... combine it with submarine for detection? Wow never thought it that way. I use the corvete at early game to make a decoy for invasion 😂. Best prank ever (if the enemy stupid enough and fell for it LMAO).
Really depends on style if too much electronics can go for subs, but usually I have too much supply to spend and always not enough component so I will mobilize some corvette
Also, what ship you recommend Me to research?(Eastern doctrine) Just started a US Battle map (forgot the name of the title and I'm too lazy to go back read it) Using Cuba and I'm planning getting a good navy.
How would you organize a Carrier Strike Group? I know you need a carrier, but how many Cruisers, Destroyers, Frigates and Submarines for the group as well as aircraft the carrier should carry?
I always play as an island focused on a navy. I use a carrier level 3, two frigates level 5, two destroyers level 5. I carry anti amour helicopters and naval strike and a couple air superiority fighters.
I remember one guy beelined carriers in my battleground USA, I killed his only carrier with spam of corvettes and since then I've thought that carriers are useless
carrier are useless with out destroyer (good against ship and sub) for AA you can just use the aircraft inside the carrier. if 1 carrier vs 10 corvete have a match, ofc the corvete win 😄😂🤣
It's gonna be exciting when you main Navy and your allies main Aircrafts, that would be a good combination if friendly air can land on ally AC. You can focus leveling up AC instead of leveling AC and aircrafts. AC is useless if you don't have a solid air units
In this whole video you just talked about the stats of the ships. I can read that on my own. What I need is to know how to build them. I have a lvl3 navy base and I have the corvette researched, but it won't let me build them.
Recently i confront in a public map a guy who spam 3 carriers. He was in America, but have lands on Europe (where i was). He plays very bad the Carrier, well, i managed to kill his figthers while off line using my stack of frigates lv2. Then, he try to ram me with the Carriers stacked with destroyers. I love so much the frigates, but they are soo slow... If where more quickly, i feel that i don't need another ship at all, because using hit and run, they could do decent damage. For other side, i ever pass the destroyer, but i see this guy using stacks of 5 of them. If i would use my SF to defeat this stack, i would lose many figthers to destroy the stack, because in group they could do decent point defense damage. They are "jack of all trades, master of none", but focus on only this ship could allows to use more electronics for fighters and you can spawn a strong navy quickly because you can focus on level only one kind of ship. I feel that Destroyers must not be understimated by it's lack of active anti air.
One thing to 📝 note. Corvettes are your best friends in defense or shallow waters. A stack of Corvettes maxed are a nightmare to any ship or sub if you stack them with frigets maxed out nothing can touch your homeland ports. Never use Corvettes in open ocean or long open ocean voyage they're vulnerable and pretty much useless.
Lol I love aircraft carrier I made four aircraft carrier strike groups each having Two cruiser Two destroyer One frigate and carrier with naval Air superiority
Solid enough video, but why mention and point out every single damage point of every single ship when we can SEE the points ourselves on the video? Instead time can be spent talking about usefulness, strategies, etc.
@@brunosantiago4849 Ele quis se referir a cidades costeiras. Só colocar um hospital onde se encontram os estaleiros e atraca seus navios lá para a cura.
Nick help 8:18 to 8:22 what do u mean by 100 damage alone u said 5 does 50 damage i can guess the 100 damage comes from 50damage from attack and 50 damage from defence but how does that work can explain it to me thanks.
Meaning just the attack damage could do 50 damage. While if enemy aircraft hit the ships directly, which would mean defense gets triggered as well… then it would be 100. 50 defense and 50 attack.
Aircraft carriers are that expensive for a reason tho, 'cause at late game there's nothing stronger than a (lvl. 1) carrier with five (lvl. 1) Naval Strikers. That's like 25 def mod and attack mod against enemy ships. And let's say you have one (lvl. 2) carriers, and 10 pieces of (lvl. 2) attack planes on it ( 'cause it's late game)... That should be 70 def mod and attack mod against enemy ships.😵💫😵💫😵💫
So what is a good defence for naval attacks? I'm playing norway and i've conquered sweden and finland now. Canada is expanding to iceland and britain so i want to get a good complete defence. I'm an absolute noob and i have no idea what to build. I started playing the game 2 weeks ago
Frigates should be excellent at anti-submarine warfare. They should or could have the same sonar capability but are way more maneuverable. That’s kinda dumb.
When you say ships get X attack against land units does that mean attacking them on land or sea? Because hitting them at sea should almost always be totally fatal shouldn’t it?
I do have a question. So I’ve been playing the game for a little while I normally play x4 speed and I wanted to know when is it considered mid or late game
A decent stack is 3 cruisers and 2 destroyers or the other way around. However, you can just have a 5 stack of cruisers with a 5 stack of destroyers nearby.
Please - need answer how to heal up SHIPS - its so simple like put them in Port ?? like normal Land units to hospital ?? Or its even nor possible ?? Thx
