I've just found this today, as we have similar issues at both Canarelli Middle and Tony Alamo. All of the streets around Canarelli are marked with no parking signs their entire length, yet you often find parents double or triple parked into the center turn lane picking up or dropping off their kids, completely blocking Torrey Pines and Robindale. These people are extremely inconsiderate and do not care about the residents in the area who have to use these streets and deal with these problems on a daily basis. The situation is similar on Eldorado by Tony Alamo Elementary. Parking is allowed there but parents routinely block driveways, the street, or park on corners where crosswalks are, etc. Metro really should be down here ticketing these people.
We have the same type of problem in Australia, 'oh, it's too dangerous to let our kids walk to school because of all the traffic', so they add to the traffic by driving their kids to school. Take a look around a school in the holidays and you will see who is creating this problem. Let them walk, like they did in times gone by.
akkk i miss this school so much bc i just graduated from it and this was such a good school and i dont even remember this clip from school haha but im currently going to canerelli
