This might be the fourth place I've checked in trying to understand the Current Page attribute of bookmarks...and the only one I could actually follow and understand. I don't offhand understand the use case for it, but at least now I know why I will always leave it checked. And, BTW, a MARVELOUS modulated voice and delivery. A very pleasant presentation, in addition to effective.
Weird use case, but you can uncheck the current page to clear all slicers in a report weather they are synced to the page the user is on or not. Create a hidden page with all of the slicers in the report, save the bookmark with all of the slicers in an unfiltered state, turn off current page. Then when you click that bookmark on another page, all slicers there and on any other page will be reset to default.
He said "I watched a lot of videos on this topic. You have the best and most detailed explanation. Thank you, good luck and may your channel keeps growing and become successful. "
I have watched several videos on the same subject, but your video, is simple, and clearly explained with examples. It directly goes into my mind. Thanks a lot from India.😀
I have been learning Power BI for several years but still, I had been a bit confused by them. Now, it is crystal clear. I can't thank you enough. Sending Best Wishes to You.
I have periodically used bookmarks for a couple of years. Each time I have struggled getting these settings just right. I always have to research the use of bookmarks. THIS video is the best yet. I expect many fewer struggles in the future. Many Thanks
Your videos are awesome. This video really helped me to understand the Bookmarks in deep manner with your simple explanation. Keep continue great work.
Hi Ma'am I quite understand your videos. Also, I implemented it as well. I have a doubt about how to navigate the button by using a single click instead of ctrl+click
How can we do continuous analysis in key influencer. What kind of dataset does it expects. Since I have kind of cost data, where for each product I have costs associated. Now I want to find why the cost is increasing or decreasing. But it shows me no influencers found.
Thanks for this precious video. One question: Is there the chance to set a bookmark for a page as a default? For example, I have a detail page, the user can land in by means of drill-through functionality. I would like that when user lands on the detail page, the state of a precise bookmark for that page was shown (we assume we have more than one bookmark on that page). Thanks, g.
I'm glad that you enjoy the video. If you save your report with a particular bookmark selected, then it should be saved as a starting default. The situation that you describe is a bit tricky.... i.e. wanting the report user to land to a page, via drill through, and have the bookmark reset to the default bookmark (presuming that other bookmarks set in that page has been selected). I have never tried creating something like that before. Let us know if you are able to successfully set this up.
