I’ve been playing congas for 30 years. Here’s my honest review. As well as an absolutely amazing player, Paulo is such a nice guy. I went to Berklee College of Music with him. He was always genuinely caring and including everyone. I highly recommend his teachings. I tell all me students to watch his videos. - Paulo, I’m so proud of you!! You deserve it all!!
I have watched quite a few of your videos and I do come away with lots of good information. But the real benefit I feel as though I receive, is feeling that I just hung out with one the nicest and most sincere individuals possible.
A good assessment. I've looked at conga Chops, Pepe Espinosa, Michael Miranda. Between the 4 of you I learn from all of you. I think your content is more complete and caters to my ability. You are easy to follow as well as Pepe. I'd pay $30. But right now there is so much content available I don't need to. Thanks for your opinion. Much respect Aché
I took the 7 days trial. I think your site is amazing. The quality of the videos and the teaching are fantastic. The only con I've found is that (being myself a bongo student) there is so little bongo videos compared with congas videos (after all the site is called Conga Chops). The bongo courses are really good, but I want more. It would be nice if we could know when new bongo materials is added, so we can consider to pay a membership. P.s: I've also purchased the App and it's very useful.
Agreed- thank you for your taking the time to share your experience- We’ll be beefing up the bongo content soon with a new course and two amazing guest artist masterclasses!
Thanks Eric. Your videos have taught me so much for years!! I was looking conga chops and your review has helped to make a decision . Peace and love 🙏🏾
My greatest respect on your very informative introduction to Conga Chops. I have the icons on my phone and use them all the time. Paulo created an excellent tool that all percussionist should have.
God bless you brother. Thank you so much for this. I’ve been checking them out for awhile but never pulled the trigger. Definitely will be working with this
Eric prez love your contents and this wonderful introduction to conga shop it's alsome information my hat off to you how you lay down the great master class conga shop pro +con it don't get better then that I always admire how you talk and break things in a easy way to understand it I believe this life style of percussion must continue for ever this is a long journey specially if your that guy or that female that wants to richly learn the true development of how to be in a level of conga playing it's what you put in is what your going get out it's just facts anyway just wanted to say something good and positive about this video of yours Eric you are the man I been following you for long time and it's hats of to you and very real conga teacher man?🤓 Conga shop is the place to up up your conga level.
Awesome video, I've been looking at conga chops for a while but was unsure if it was worth it, good to know you support it! On a side note, I'm looking to upgrade my congas soon, do you have any recommendations on a set of 3 congas preferably under $500 each?
The truth is Conga Chops is Excellent for the price!!! People don’t realize how it used to be to try to find this kind of information out there!!! Almost impossible especially if you don’t live in Latin America. What it comes down to is spend the $ on this course and don’t spend $ on high end drums until you can learn to play on cheap drums… and also you don’t need more than 2 congas for years and years or even ever… give 2 cheap congas to any real deal player close your eyes and they will make them sound like expensive congas… sick of musicians in general thinking they need expensive gear to sound good… #facts
I looked into the bongo course and did not like it. Think it could be better . I did not have time to look into the conga course but the bongo course made me reluctant to look at the conga course. Learn more from you. Also too pricey for me.
@@Antonio-ti2he Definitely room for growth content wise! As it is the newest instrument, we’ve still got some courses in the works to help beef things up. We’ll also have two masterclass artists coming up later this year that will focus solely on bongó. There is currently roughly 10x the amount of content for conga. As for the teaching style, did you find it not organized enough, or too organized? 😅 Thank you for your input!
For sure, all about perspective and perceived value. I encourage our members to come and go as they deem fit. Subscribe for a month, than take a few months to work on what they need to before come back. DVD’s back in the day would go for $25 a pop, and usually only have about an hour video. We currently have 70+ hours of video on the site, plus a bunch of other features and material like Eric mentions : )
Greetings! No, the apps are stand alone and only contain practice loops. The website houses the educational community with over 70+ hours of video lessons, and everything Eric mentions in the video 🥂
