This is such an awesome season finale, so much was going on: Katherine turning human, Jeremy coming back to life, Delena happening for real, Klaus' iconic "I intend to be your last"-line, the cute moments with Lexi and Alaric, Bonnie saying her goodbyes, the big reveal about Stefan being Silas' Doppelgänger &&& Sooo good.

The finale of this season in my opinion is the most shocking, beautiful and full of twists, of all seasons. Bonnie dead😔, Jeremy comes back to life 🙂, Katherina human😲, Elena makes her choice Damon 😘, the first time Stefan is not chosen by someone 😏, Moment Klaus and Caroline 😘, Stefan doppelganger of Silas and finally discovering the face of Silas😲, Lexi and Alaric next to their friends Stefan and Damon 😍, high school is finally enough👩‍🎓 ... in short, full of twists.

Silas' sudden return at the end is basically the "Surprise, B!T©#" AHS meme to a tea😂. Anyways, Silas revealed that Stefan is actually his doppelganger.

I can’t believe you’re starting season 5 already! This episode was so good! Delena has my heart! This was also one of Damon’s best speeches to Elena. Season 5 is not my favorite season overall, but the first half is really good and the last few episodes of the season are fantastic. The season finale is one of my favorites in the entire show. There’s several episodes in the middle of the season though, that has my least favorite story arc of the entire series. I feel like it was just to create unnecessary drama. You just sort of have to get through that arc to get to the amazing episodes at the end of the season, and then season 6 which is incredible.

There is a pattern with Elena, always explaining why she loves someone by saying: ''He makes me feel....''. She never says: ''He is... (insert positive qualities)''. She was that way with both Stefan and Damon, but it was really emphasized in season 3 and 4. First there were all her conversations with Matt about the brothers in season 3. Elena couldn't think to say anything positive about them, so she always talked about how they make her feel about herself instead. Then there was Rebekah's compulsion in season 4, when Elena again couldn't say anything positive about Damon's personality, so she had to explain her love for him only by what kind of feelings she has when he's with her. And then this episode, when she not only can't think of positive qualities, but actually points out negative traits Damon has, and justifies her love by how he makes her feel yet again. That's always her go to response. I wonder if she actually knows Damon and Stefan, if she understands them outside of how they are with her, especially considering how often she acts really surprised by their actions.
