Elden Ring is probably going to be a common GOTY choice, but I hope it never becomes automatic. Subtitles by Screaming Argonaut Delayed Input Patreon: / delayedinput Twitch Channel: / kylebosman Discord Server: / discord
The machine shown in the Burning Shore trailer is a Metal Devil and no functionning one has ever been seen in HZD and HFW so far. They've only been used as part of the scenery as derelicts of the previous war. The machine you're thinking of in HZD is a Deathbringer which is about the size of one Hollywood letter.
I was going to say the same thing. In fact, (SPOILERS FOR HZD INCOMING)... The big fight at the end of the HZD is about stopping the Hades from reactivating Horus and other machines because once they are activated, the Horus can reproduce other machines and bring about the end of the world. That makes me wonder if the Horus in this DLC will be nerfed or will Aloy have some way to control them.
it's been years since I finished HZD. When he said there was one alive in the first one I thought maybe I had forgotten that part of the story. But hey, even the dark prince of nerd media can make mistakes.
For a second I thought the title this week was "Congratulations Elden Ring Delayed" and I just accept that Kyle Bosman has the power to retroactively delay released games now.
Kyle is incorrect. We've never seen a functioning Horus (the Nora call them "Metal Devils"). The robots that came back at the end of Horizon Zero Dawn were called Deathbringers.
I agree with everything you said in this video.. BESIDE at 8:15 . this is actually not true. These things never were alive. neither in 2 NOR in 1. This is the first time we really see them move. so it is kind of a new reveal.
I got the platinum trophy months ago and am still playing it and, unbelievably, finding a few areas & items I still missed after 4+ playthroughs. Incredible game
I’ve been a fan of Fromsoft since the Original Demons Soul’s, but now their games remind me how I feel about call of duty: I love playing them but I get bored and roll my eyes when I hear people talking about it.
ER is one of those games that although people might be tired of hearing about it so you wanna praise some other game… at the end of the day, if you played and spent a decent enough time exploring the world and lore of Elden Ring, it’s just impossible to ignore just how amazing and revolutionary and breathtaking it was. This is all my opinion of course, but it truly is one of my favorite games of all time just because of the things it did.
@@samy29987 ER sold so well, I think it's getting a lot of praise from people who had never played a From Soft game or people who don't have Nintendo consoles who haven't played BotW. It's impressive the amount of content the game's got, but definitely not revolutionary IMO.
came back after many months and had the same feeling Kyle did when he found out Elden Ring won GOTY. Boring and predictable. Time for something new Kyle
Elden ring is a joke and the punch line is when you die. Lol. seriously though, I've learned that with from soft games you're supposed to laugh at the redicioulous nature of it all.
elden ring is like my best friend when i was younger. he could play the piano -- no ethnicity implied. he was a grade above me and was the best athlete on sports, math wiz, and the teachers would give *him* apples. i still like elden ring.
Horizon Forbidden West was my Game of the Year, it's absence from your GotY talk at the beginning of the video is explained by your bias about it at the end of your video
Good insight as usual, Kyle. Personally, I enjoyed Elden Ring _despite_ the usual Souls shebang. To me traditional Souls bosses and combat are very tired, didn't even finish Dark Souls 3, got bored. Sekiro and Bloodborne did the Souls thing much better than Elden Ring.
Elden Ring is my favourite game released in 2022 and my second favourite game of the year. My actual favourite game of the year is INSIDE. I guess that’s the beauty of us common folk not being bound to the rules of release dates.
I hate that ER won... I wanted to buy PS5 version and even used are literally the same price as digital... (I beat ER on PC, I just wanted to replay it on console to get achievements again)
Wow I didn't realize just how silly that Immortals of Aveum was until this. It's like the definition of forgettable. That's the kind of trailer that only an established IP MIGHT be able to get away with lol
Damn. I was hoping you would make a funny joke or bit about how you murdered someone at the game awards. I did the Leonardo DiCaprio pointing scene from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood where he whistles and points at the TV when I saw you during the show. Was that a body double ?
hey kyle, i used to watch you many years ago on gametrailers and was quit a fan, haven't watched you in years but just thought id put your name into youtube A bit of friendly advice, your video thumbnails are bad, and video thumbnails are very important for getting views. What's bad is that there is so much wasted empty space in all of them. That picture you have in the top left should cover the whole thumbnail, with text and your picture over it. (and only use your picture if you have a relevant facial expression, which you don't always)
I think with Horizon trailer, though I haven’t played the sequel yet, plan to, it’s just a weird shift that they are kind of spoiling the fact that this is taking place in the future of the game past what the first game revealed. And somehow these two places survived the test of time and environmental changes ?
No one loves LA more than people who work there. The fact that Burning Shore is set there turns me off. I don't want any American west coast city in a game for a long time.
Don't have to look too far, Kyle. Xenoblade is my GOTY, and it's not close. Easily my favorite game this year. Hope you try it someday instead of just make fun of it all the time
Xenoblade 2 & 3 is only for people that can stomach cringe, bad writing and overdesigned systems. That's fine, they're niche games. Not everyone has to like what you like.
@@suplextrain I never said anyone has to like what I like, just trying to say I think more people would find they might like it if they simply tried it. Lots of people like to bash on it without having ever given it a fair chance. I personally disagree about the cringe, I think they're exceptionally well made games.
@@suplextrain Xenoblade 2, I agree. Stupid gacha system, too many bad mechanics but Xenoblade 3 well written and voiced (some of the VA are in Enden Ring BTW) and well explained hero and job systems. Your comment shows that you didn't even play the game to say that. Out of all the Xeno games, 3 is the best in VA, Gameplay and world building (They are responsible for Zelda BOTW being what it is and hopefully tears of the kingdom as well) In conclusion Xenoblade 3 is a better open world game than Enden Ring for sure and not that frustrating. GOTY for many.
