Also, the Ram Mandir trust sent the invites, to everyone including the BJP. The invite was not sent by the BJP. Modi accepted the invite as prime minister; in earlier times the kings used to sit and be A PART of the ritual. Ram is associated with rulers, kings, Prime ministers, etc. It doesn't really take away from democracy; just that whoever is the PM will partake in the religious event of pran pratistha (like in marriage too, bhai etc ka fixed position and role hota hai na, waise hi) You should see Sudhanshu Trivedi's response to it.
