@@bamakaze Oh, okay. I was surprised when I first watched it, haven't seen any real journalism from it since. Moral for corporate TV? Don't bite the hand that feeds you.
Thank you for the tremendous enlightenment, to the citizens of the United States. No other news organization comes close, to the investigative reporting of 60 minutes.
Our government is totally dysfunctional. Remember: All that it takes for evil to triumph is for good me to do nothing. We the people have to be the change, real change, not a campaign slogan. The eyes of the world are on us, citizens of the United States of America.
@Pauly69s I agree. What's to stop them from passing that insider knowledge off to someone else for a cut of the profit? Blind trusts won't solve anything.
What a fantastic piece of journalism. I applaud CBS 60 minutes to air this. So I called every congressman/woman 10 of them from Massachusetts. None of the office has even heard about STOCK bill HR1148. No wonder!! Call your representative and request them to co-sponsor the HR 1148. a dalal
Vote them all out. Update our constitution to work in today's society, and this government might have a chance to last a little longer now that it's on borrowed time.
@dnnylee "we didn't" was coming out of her mouth before he even finished the question. You can see the spin wheels starting to turn over. She's a liar.
@and61000 I love the show, and they are true journalists. I see WAY to many journalists that are afraid of critical journalism and are not too interested spending time digging for answers.
This is why we need term limits. We just keep voting the same people in and they are corrupted by power. We should demand they look at and pass the stock act. Or better yet make it illegal for them to trade stocks or buy large amounts of land while in office both member & spouse.
What’s good for them? It’s good for us. No double standard. We need to vote on the laws that govern these people work for us and I believe they should be in prison in the story.
well it costs millions to run a campaign, you need a return on your investment and 176,000 dollar salary is really low. You don't go thru all that for that crud salary.
aglobal melt down in a few days. i could understand if he had said in a year or two.. but a few days. these people dont even have a clue of how to run this country. makes me sick.
STOP AT FRAME 10:04 Would like to read everybody's comment or ideas as to what they think of when they see her at frame 10:04 just to see if I'm thinking the same as others might.
Burr is more suspicious than Loeffler, hers is run by an advisor and that was confirmed by Intercontinental Exchange, people ignored Feinsteins because she lost money on it.
Please, keep up the bipartisan reporting and aggressive reporting on special laws that place our elected officials in a special class above the average American. D.Longee
Trust nature: Natural Law. Nature works in harmony to produce and sustain all life on earth. Your organs: Liver, heart, long intestine, etc all work together to keep you alive. There is no free enterprise system in nature. Greed is a human construct based out of fear of "not having enough" or "not being enough to go around." There's enough to go around, if we use our natural resources efficiently. "There is enough for everybody's need, but not enough for anybody's greed" - Mahatma Gandhi.
We need a totally non-political group of average men and women to make the rules for government officials. Compensation, term limits, benefits, time off, pensions, medical benefits, insider trading, bribes, harassment clams and a multitude of other issues that the people in power are NOT capable of making. This group must be above all elected and appointed officials making the will of the people undisputed and in immediately enacted, and in some cases retroactively imposed. This program would have the effect of self draining the swamp. Not many current politician would stick around for a fair compensation package leaving only a few patriots remaining. Those others would be replaced with average Americans that have NO political experience. They will serve for a set amount of time and then return to the private sector jobs. Private sector retirement plans, and medical benefits having the riches that come with been proud to serve.
What is your opinion about this video? What do you think the government should or should not do about it? Why does the government allow it to happen? What are the solutions to this problem?
