Congressman accuses Secret Service of ‘cutting corners’ in protecting Trump 

Republican Congressman Jim Jordan has accused US Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle of “cutting corners” when it came to protecting former US president Donald Trump.
Ms Jordan also accused the director of not answering “pretty basic questions”.
“It looks like you got a nine per cent raise, and you cut corners when it came to protecting one of the most important individuals, most well-known individuals on the planet, a former president,” he said.
“Looks like you guys were cutting corners.”
