I believe that one day we all want to get to the point where being a woman, POC, and/or LGBT in politics and/or high positions of power is normalized and not a huge deal anymore, but until we get there we celebrate these milestones of representation until we reach that future. I view supporting a politician as approving their policies and positions as the most important and them belonging to any one or multiple of these marginalized groups as an amazing added bonus to represent to people in these groups that no matter who you are, as long as you can show that you actually represent the interests of the people you serve and have policies they support then you have a fair shot of being a member of Congress, Vice President, or even President.

I feel loke I need to put a qualifier on my comment for clarification. I am not promoting trad fem. I am not straight (tho I am in a hetero passing relationship). Any person of any gender that possesses feminine traits (in the trad Western sense) is worthy of respect. And does not deserve to be belittled for daeing to be soft and vulnerable when the world is so hard.
