Retail workers should have a union as well, retail work is becoming more and more callous and uncaring for their employees. The Walmart incident was also a mental health crisis issue as well.

I did not know who Mary Peltola was before I watched this, But i can say right now after doing some research and seeing this, that's the kind of governor we ALL need. Truly capable of viewing both sides, and honestly one of the first people, republican or democrat, to truly give reasonable honest answers to pressing issues.

I’m 70 and retired but I have Covid right now and there is no way a person could work being this sick. So I have to agree and sick pay should be understood not have to be bargained for, for Gods sake.

Times have sure changed from the 90's when worker's would be able to have paid personal and sick leave, some employees however long they worked for the company received 5 to 7 weeks vacation. If one would work a full month they would receive a half day off with pay, 6 months family leave, 6 months time off for maternity leave, in addition to this especially the railroad and automotive industry had excellent, medical/dental coverage, retirement benefits, and none of this 401k plan. This is no longer coporate America but rather coporate China

Give them six weeks sick leave, not seven days!

Workers have more power than they think. People are just afraid to exercise that power because they'll just lose their job and many just can't do that. So they are stuck. But,company wide walk outs for weeks would sure solve it. 14 days of absolutely no one going to work,it would change things real fast. No gas,no grocers being sold,no goods moved. Everything stops. Everything.

As a reformed Republican and now a Democrat, I still support the right to keep and bear arms. However, Democrats lose me on the “gun issue.” I would vote for her if I could believe she is straight with us on her support for the Second Amendment. As a former cop, I was never afraid of armed citizens. I was happy to have armed citizens nearby. A couple of times citizens saved my bacon, pun unintended.

The answer to mass shootings is not more mental health access. As we have seen over and over, many who have committed these shootings have been seen by mental health professionals. In process mapping people are categorized as Noise, because they are unpredictable. They're not SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) or Control, like a measurement. And not all people are "pack animals". Many people are introverts and for them it is healthy to spend time alone. The only thing that we as a nation can control is the access to Assault weapons by civilians. That's it. Unless you can find mind readers to screen every single person who is purchasing one of these weapons of war.
