A lovely bridleway through Broughton woods and then onwards to Seathwaite followed by the hard climb up Walna Scar road heading to Coniston. filmed in 4k this was a Brutal e bike ride for me due to lack of fitness / Stamina As usual we set off from and returned to Windermere, overall it was 4825 ft elevation change which included some slogging up the road climbs along the way. All on a scorching day.
The bit that killed me tho was the climb up from Seathwaite to Walna Scar summit as I was on battery management at that up to that point as i didnt want the ride of shame with no battery on the way home. This is a must do ride it's well worth the effort. As it turned out tho I got home with 30% battery remaining after 37 miles of fun ( 625 wh battery ) . The pain of the climbs is worth every bit for the descents and views you will experience on this ride ..... sorry the GoPro battery died before we got to the bottom of Walna Scar at Coniston but there wasn't much left when it died
