I'm interested in how the low poly model you show at the beginning of the video was made. Is this also done through an addon? Or is this already done separately? for example through Plasticyty or through something else..

The lowpoly is actually retopologized directly over the highpoly mesh output. With the next major update (1-2 months from now) I plan to make a demo video about that workflow. Currently it's still missing some features that make it slower than it could be.

Will ConjureSDF Public Alpha v0.1.5 work with blender 4.1, and will future updates be free?

the current version (v0.1.5) only works on 3.3.x, with limited support for 3.6. All updates to Alpha (which is planned to run for about a year) will be free. Major updates such as Beta, 1.0, 2.0, etc. Will be separate purchases with discounted upgrade paths for owners of Alpha, etc.

I've never heard of paying for an upgrade from alpha to beta. That certainly makes me more than a bit hesitant to try things out.

@@vimh42 That's completely understandable. It's worth pointing out that purchasing Alpha includes at least a year of updates. (including an update to support Blender 4.0+) I chose this pricing strategy to allow people to get in early on Conjure. While still being able to price the full 1.0 release at a price worth the features, support and updates.

As a tool, I'm more than willing to pay for this in alpha or beta format and if you need a paid off site tester, count me in. I want tools to bolster my workflow and although I can already somewhat accomplish the above in Adobe Modeler Beta, I'm more keen on trying the added options seen here in Blender. All said, don't sell yourself short on this. I'm following the hype in other discord servers and you're sitting on gold. Don't wait too long though as others may outcompete you in short order while waiting for this.

Its interesting to try some shapes, but I cant find how to use in real work pipeline. It meant to be fast hard surface modeling tool, but it lacks of basic hard surf capabilities. For example, I started to model MP-40 with ConjureSDF. It is simple to do with usual tools, and painfully difficult with ConjureSDF. Handle of MP-40 is simple 1 minute extruded spline usual way. With ConjureSDF it is more than 10 different primitives, unions, differences, nested special way to bool booleans, etc. After done it is hard to manipulate further. I'll try to explain in hope it may help to do something better. 1) it must be some closed solidified 2d spline primitive. This is basic hardsurf need. 90% of everything might be done this way. 2) skinned 3d spline, to bo cables, pipes with round or rectangular profile. 3) Grouping. You already have tree structure. It might be some lock button on every parent, to lock transforms of childs. 4) It is hard to see used primitives in viewport, even with wireframe turn on. Some of them so hidden that I can select them only through outliner. It must be see-trough wireframe mode, and selecting via click on edge of primitive, to select something in deep. Good luck.

Curves are on the roadmap, but other core features take priority right now. After the 4.1+ update (coming in a few months), I should have time to add curves.

I plan to update Conjure to support Blender 4.0+ and *in theory* this should enable support for MacOS too. But I am not certain of this yet, needs more testing. 4.0+ upgrade is planned for

I'm using M3 Pro ...I can't install modenGL.

M3 Pro is MacOS right? As mentioned on the storepages this is technically not support currently. It will be as part of the blender 4.0+ update. However I would love to know if the rendering engine is functional for you? As MacOS can in theory still use OpenGL in blender (on 3.3) Feel free to reach out to me via the ConjureSDF support email that is provided with your purchase. And I'd be happy to help you further via email. (please also include a proof of purchase, like the Gumroad license key or Blender Market receipt) Regarding modernGL. Ah yes this is now a known issue since it has happened to a few people after launching to the public. (these things never happen in pre-alpha of course...) With your purchase you should have received an invite link to our private discord server. We have some workarounds there (depending on your OS/exact issue) If you don't have/use discord no worries. The moderngl related issues are my top priority for the first update! Worst case you will see some updated documentation videos (or in the addon itself) to work around this issue.
