CONKERS BAD FUR DAY 

Everybody says “Hi Hans” in unison.

So when I was 14 I wanted to go into game development, Rareware studios is located roughly where some of my extended family lived at the time. My parents knew I was a huge Rareware fan & they surprised me during a trip to visit the studio from outside of the gates. (To get a sneaky peak I suppose) Anyway, long story short one of the devs at the time pulled out of the driveway & noticed us standing around there, she ended up talking with me & offered me a ride to have a quick tour of the building before her meeting about quote ‘this pirate game we’re working on’ (it was Sea Of Thieves). So this lady actually happened to be Louise Ridgeway (one of the main animators on Conkers Bad Fur Day as well as the voice of Berri & other female Conker characters.) She was nothing but kind to me & gave me a Rareware merch bag from storage before I left. She also told me all about her work on Conker & told me about the hellish production of the game. One of the nicest memories I’ve had from a place, I never became a game dev in the end but whenever I think of Conkers Bad Fur Day I think of what happened to me on that day- Apologies to the Oney community if this wasn’t a goofy brainrot comment, I just felt this story was wholesome enough to share x Edit: Just to clarify I have no interest in game development anymore as an adult, I’m 21 now & have just self published my own novella & poetry collection. So yeah! I’m a filthy, starving writer now! :)

To be fair Tomar’s bad fur day was significantly worse. Rainfurrest never recovered.

God I hope they finish this series, Conker is a gem. It's got genuinely great moments I can't wait for them to see and also ungodly annoying gameplay moments that'll be funny to scream at.

I do love watching Oneyplay more then other let's play channels cause these are all animators and they point out technical stuff so im learning laughing and just having a good o' jolly time

I remember Nintendocaprisun’s let’s play of this back in the day, one of Eliot Rodger’s liked videos was a part from that playthrough. I hope we get more than one episode of this, i wanna see Cory’s reaction to the cavewoman.

I'm so excited for them to play through this game, although part of me is worried they might only make a few episodes before dropping it in the usual OneyPlays fashion.

Running around as a teddy bear with a katana chopping off heads in the original multiplayer was one of the best times ever. Classic game. The ending still gets me every time.

I remember playing this game as like a 5 year old. I remember the bears with the guns and turret placements and the squirrels sending their ninjas to destroy the leader, the beach, the blood and bullets... what a terrible time...

YES. I LOVE THIS GAME. It is INSANE this game never got a proper sequel. Such a smart and fun game. With surprisingly a beautiful message by the end of it. Truly underrated gem.

Man me and my friend played this so much. We played the multiplayer so much.

This is my all time favourite game. It still lives up to memory to this day. My only regret is, since i never had an N64 as a kid, i grew up thinking "Conkers bad fur day" was an xbox original exclusive because i played the "Live and reloaded" reskin, so watching the original everything looks different
