@@PaulaWeb3andCrypto quick question, is it possible to make a selection of a bunch of crypto and extract the price in the same way you mention? around 50 cryptos. Thx in advance for educating us
Just found this video after searching through how to properly download price history from coin gecko. Translating date from unix number was very helpful and I'm using it for another coingecko api. Thanks a lot and greatly appreciated on this!
Hi, Is it normal on the 30days formula that the API is pushing 6 times the same date with different data ? At the end, my graph looks messy. Thank you for your great tutorials (excel, coingecko, coinmarketcap...)!!!
Hi Paula - great tutorial. What you describe seems easy enough, however, I am not able to make it run. Do you know of any Excel settings that would prevent someone from using the CoinGecko API? Could it be JSON related? I get all the way to entering the path into 'Data from Web' but then Excel either freezes or I ESC out after 10 mins and try it again. Thanks!
Great spread sheet! I am using it, and expanded it! Just not sure yet how to expand a single query for getting more than 50 coins. I also created a portfolio prospector, with coins that I might want to ape in
Is there any way to get volume data and to track the volume changes for 5min, 15min, etc.. in excell ? The excell will report the hourly volume changes automatically, so we can track it easily.
Hi Paula, thank you, it's very interresting. I'm looking for to have historical values at the close of many coins in ytd with automatic update (even if when a day is finish, it does not move anymore). Is it easy ? Thank you
Hi Paula this is quite complicated for me. Actually I want is the bitcoin value of all cryptocurrency displayed on CoinGecko. I tried importing it via New Web Query but it doesn't allow me to change the currency, probably because it's using javascript. Do you know by any chance how to easily get this?
Hi. Can you please explain how to add data on macos. Cuz the options are different and on selecting "Get eternal Data" then "From HTML" a pop up menu asking to select the file from which you want to add data appears. Please help.
hi paula, thanks for this video. Does this work for multiple coins (i.e. by typing "bitcoin, ethereum") into the id string? Doesnt seem to work for me. Just want to check. cheers
Paula, great tutorial. A question: trying to import btc pairs of altcoins. Your example on 3:46 works for me, but doesn't return values for for example 0x. Is it possible to import the general market data including prices in bitcoin AND in EUR or USD for say the top 500 coins? I'm able to load the top 500 from coinmarketcap but only USD.
I am interested in extracting historical open interest data for bitcoin futures from coingecko. I see I can get live data, but can I get historical derivatives data?
Thanks for the video. I've tried to replicate the same query for 180 days Bitcoin, but it's not showing me the every day OHLC. It's showing the OHLC every 4 days (e.g 9/11/2020 and then below row is for 9/15/2020). Do you know how to fix this issue? Thanks!
Thanks Paula, very good video. As I do not speak English I did not watch the entire video, but I managed to solve my main problem, which was the volume, as it took bitfinex, but it came with outliers. I would like to change the "include_24hr_change" to 7 days. Is it possible? Thank you very much in advance.
