Has anyone tested the range of the Wi-Fi on this? How far can your phone get from the camera before it cuts out?

For all with connection problems, I recommend to remeve your camera from the app (you will add later). The same to do on the Camera - delete all your connections / configurations - set up to manufacture settings. Update your app on your smartphone and check for firmware update for your cam (maybe there are some connection fixes). Afterthat start from scratch as in the video (the menus may be a little bit different). In my case works perfect.

Once my smartphone connects to the cannon wifi it says “no internet connection” and doesn’t complete the full connection process on the camera side of things. Smh

I have to share my location to connect to my camera's wifi 2m away? A deal-breaking privacy violation. Funny, my GoPros don't demand to know where I am, why does Canon?

I have gone through this video 3 times but my canon EOS 80D has different screens than in video and iphone 10 also has different screens. Something wrong with my camera and iphone I guess? The wifi shows my camera but will not connect. Need to find a better help video.

Anybody try to wifi connect a EOS 2000D to a PC. As far as I can tell, it can't be done. I can connect to my phone, but that is full. The cable or remove the card works, but that is not good.

I followed everything the way it is described. My problem has always been the same: once you disconnect your camera, you can never reconnect it again to your iPhone. It doesn't appear on Wifi network list, it doesn't connect automatically, the app remains dead, etc.

@@joaojuca usaully you should activate on your cam wifi and connect with your smartphone (I do on the wifi connections) and later I start the smartphone app and it works. I agree, I wished a simply connection by pressing a button... . Maybe an update by canon in 5 years ... ;-)

this app is very bad, they say "easy connection" then they take you to a 10 steps process to connect your camera, now imagine having to do it multiple times during a recording session? Unusable.
