They've had 97 for a long time, but it definitely doesn't run often

@@JasonSchaedlerVideos 97 has been running on property the longest, it was out of service starting in 2010 and reentered service about a year ago.

97 has been operating at the Valley since 1973. It was their main engine from 73 up till 2010 when it went down for a 15 year rebuild. She was very worn out by 2010. They fixed her boiler. She still needs a lot of work. They have her on a multi year rebuild program. Currently she operates during the fall and Christmas seasons. All three engines will operate every night during the Christmas season. Once all the work is done on 97 she will return to the regular rotation with the other steamers.

Dinner Trains have always been pulled by diesels. Nowadays engines 0901 or 0902 are used for this service
