I think you missed 2 important details. The FT Aura expects a 1520 PPM center and ELRS channel 5 is strictly 2 channel, high and low. If you want to use a channel for modes, it needs to be 6 and up.
You want to use a gyro and a long range radio system for a lightweight 3d foamy that can be flown indoors? You're never gonna learn to fly 3d like this.
