I'm an artist and I can say you've definitely mastered perspective, focal points, and detail (big and small), which is why your islands are so dynamic. Connecting one space to another without exposed cliff edges/sides is REALLY annoying. I've been working on my island for months and still can't get the hang of this, but you really inspire me and explain things very well. Also, thanks for showing that the red, orange, and yellow flowers can be used and still look great. I used to hate them, now I love them because of you.

Since I'm awful with planning paths and using "the path" I began using the circles like you and i found pretty pink flower borders. I love how it looks. I can't wait for spring so everything pink and bright. Your videos are amazing! Thanks for the inspiration!!

I hate the emptyness look too but I absolutely hate running into things in my walking paths. Using the custom designs all over is a good idea but I never fully committed to it. I might now, now that i've seen this. Your island is so beautiful!!

I've worked with several map shapes, and honestly estuaries never bothered me or made me change my style :) when I choose a map, I only look at the distance between resident services and the airport to make sure I have room for an entrance

Haha I've just memorized the pattern for how custom designs place depending on where I'm standing. Like I stand in the lower left corner of my circle paths, then do lower left custom, upper right custom, lower right custom, upper left custom. They fall in the same order each time!
