The error message in the login view is not showing because the input field class needs to be set to "is-invalid" when there's an error. You're doing it correctly in the register form using class="form-control @error('password') is-invalid @enderror" but not in the login form.

Yeah, this will work: Email {{-- --}} @error('email') {{ $message }} @enderror

Very good tuts dude, but just if someone else gets stuck, this guy does not explain that the @error needs to be used in the class of every input with is-invalid class too, and also to insert the span with invalid-feedback class, sorry for my english Im mexican, Regards

thank you so muchh ! is there a way to use fortify like multi-auth for 2 login page ( admin and user )
@PenguinDigital
@PenguinDigital 3 года назад
Hi Gerardo, yes you can follow my user management course here ru-vid.com/group/PLxFwlLOncxFLazmEPiB4N0iYc3Dwst6m4 the process remains the same the only difference is at the start. Instead of the auth being built in you need to create hat using Fortify like we did in this series.

This is a great vid. I have a quick question, I am using Spatie for roles/permissions and I wonder where the most appropriate place would be to assign a newly registered user to a specific role?

Hi Simon, thank you for the feedback. Take a look in your app folder under actions. There should be a register action you can use. You might need to publish the fortify assets first for these, can't remember exactly if they are already in there and I'm not at a computer at the moment 😄

Are their issues with routes in Laravel 8 and Fortify? I can't seem to get controllers working properly.
@PenguinDigital
@PenguinDigital 3 года назад
You will need to install fortify to have the routes unless you hand code them

@@PenguinDigital I have done exactly what was in your 4 Laravel Fortify videos.

Hi, thanks a lot for the videos!!! Is there any way to disable auto-login after registration? I want to add new users only using a registered user (like admin for example).
@PenguinDigital
@PenguinDigital 3 года назад
Just comment out or delete Features::registration() from the Fortify features array in app/config/fortify.php
@marceloAK1

@@PenguinDigital Thanks for the answer but I want to be able to register new users but I only registered users can do that not new users by themselves. Only the admin of the application can register new users so when I new user is registered I want to still authenticated as admin. If I delete the Features::registration() option I can't register new users.
@PenguinDigital

You need to crate a registration form for your admins that sends a POST request to the /register route

@@PenguinDigital Thanks a lot. I think they should add this option.
