dope . i just got the integra 7, mpcx , korg kronos and yamaha moxf8 im setting up this weekend. thanks for the tips. no one uses hardware anymore and kids at guitarcenter looked at me like i was a dinosaur lol. I hear the quality difference and this helps me out a lot

@Paskel Berry hey you have to connect your Kong or synth through midi and open sampler at the top press the tab and scroll to the bottom and make your setting. It will sample from any key range
hey dude, this video is just what I needed. Old school MIDI is something I need to learn more about. At 2:54 you mention stereo outs from both the Kronos and the MPC. What is the audio playing through? Do you have a mixer in this set up? Thanks
when you’re recording MIDI, you’re only recording the MIDI notes on the MPC that tell your keyboard what to play. You’ll need to save a project file on your keyboard as well as on the MPC. When you load both up later, the keyboard will know what sounds to play and the MPC will know what notes to play
I have almost the exact set up shown. I use the Kronos and TRITON Extreme. Currently, I have the Kronos going out to TRITON. This way the clock is synced . Since I am new to the MPC workforce (brand new), is there a way to record a Combi as opposed to just the Program, from either workstation, or am I limited to just program? If there is no know way, will the clocks still sync with 2nd external keyboard. I currently run the TRITON sounds to 1st input on KRONOS AUDIO input. I would think there was a way to have the combined programs recorded simultaneously. Plus the dope Combi seem to be lost if I cannot, record the midi data. Usually you'll find inspiration with the COMBI. I've not yet connected the keyboards at all, to the MIDI in/outs. The power of the these two keyboards, and the live 2 seem infinite. Since you are using same set up for some of your projects, I was hoping you could shed some light, and wisdom on this situation. Thanks in advance. Dope channel by the way! Thumbs up and subscribed!
Question Once ypu record midi ypu do have to save it on both devices so when you shut down and boot back up it will play back. But can you bounce the audio in place so you don't have to worry about that reconnection
you’re right. you do have to save on both devices. I end up tracking the audio into my DAW once I feel like the beat is at a point that I’m ready to start arranging the track more into a song
Great vid! Very helpful but when I export what was played on my korg kronos on to my hard drive in mp3 form it doesn't play when I try to play the file on my laptop or my mpc
thanks!!……I don’t know how to fix your problem, sorry, I mostly use my Kronos in Sequencer Mode so I only save Sequences….all of the MIDI notes I play get saved on my MPC so when I press play on the MPC it triggers the Kronos to play…I’ve never made or exported an MP3 from my Kronos
Never used MIDI. So what happens if you take your MPC to another studio. Do you have to take the Korg as well for those recorded sounds to play back? Thanks bro
Great video! I had a question i was hoping you or someone else on here might be able to help me with. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Im trying to connect my JDXI to my akai force. I have all 4 tracks from the JDXI loaded as individual MIDI tracks on the force. The problem is that if i change the loaded program for one of the tracks, it changes the loaded program on all 4 tracks to different programs. Is there a way to change the loaded program on each individual track, without it changing the loaded programs of the other JDXI tracks? If that makes sense.... I know its probably a simple fix, but Im stumped at this point. thanks again in advance for the help

you can, but the MPC ONE i think has only stereo outs, so everything would be blended and have to come out of those stereo outputs…there might be other ways around this though
not exactly sure, but make certain your keyboard volume is turned up, and your keyboard outputs are plugged in….I’ve forgot to turn it up before…just know your MPC is only triggering your keyboard to play those notes, so the actual sound will be coming out of your keyboards outputs….hope you’ve figured it out
I have a Korg Kronos II. I'm still a newb to this but why do you still have the Triton when you have all these available Triton suites for the Kronos? It's seems like it's redundant but I know on the Korg forums you have people who own the Kronos and still own other classic workstations like the M1, Triton, and OASYS. Thank you.
Sup fam I'm tossing and turning over buying a kronos 61 key same as yours, do you find 61 keys a pain in the ass? I'm not a real pianist or anything more fuck around with synths and romplers with my mpc but I'm used to 73 keys at the moment with my korg m1 as main KB. Would you rather go for the bigger board if you had the option? Price is the big. Thing holding me. Back think it's about 1g to go up a size
I love my Kronos, never had a regret buying it…only reason I got a 61 key is because I already have an 88 key…so I just MIDI my 88 key into my Kronos to give me a full size piano, plus I actually wanted the “synth style” keys, my 88 key has weighted keys….only thing i wish Kronos had was a better touch screen…it’s obviously old tech….not sure how quickly you’re looking to buy, but companies usually announce new products at the start of a new year so Korg might have something new in the works….i have zero inside info if they will, but Kronos is starting to get old…if you get one, I’m sure you’ll be happy with it though….there are a ton of expansions and the sound quality of of everything in the Kronos is amazing
Ok so I got stopped into this video, my midi ports are just like yours midi out from kronos going into (midi in 1)on mpc x , but when going over to my mpc the options it gives me on midi channel are program ch, Bank msb, bank lsb, and midi port , there is no midi channel for me to select 1 and on midi port it only gives me MPC A/B/C/D ......No Midi Out A like on yours
just making sure you know MIDI doesn’t transfer audio, do you have the main audio outs of both your MPC and Kronos into a mixer or soundcard that’s connected to speakers?….this is hard to explain with text…haha
on top left of screen, hit the little eyeball icon, when it opens hit the 3rd tab over (the 3 bars), on MIDI INPUT you can select the number, my MIDI output is MPC A
no, don’t do that…if you have a mixer or soundcard, have your MPC outs to mixer 1/2, and the Kronos in 3/4, then run speakers out of the mixer/soundcard
if you only wanted to take your MPC somewhere else....you could always sample in the tracks you used with the Kronos into the MPC.....usually I track everything into my DAW once I have a solid beat going...then I would just take my laptop with me if I needed to play it somewhere else
@Paskel Berry - this is alot easier than that....I do use my MPC in standalone too, so you only get 8 audio tracks...recording the MIDI notes you can go back and change individual notes to different velocity or change a single note completely without having to re-record the whole part...I sent you an email
I am guessing you use a mixer could you show me how you set that up? with me using so many different sound modules? or can you run the sounds through the mpc?
I only run all the MIDI from my keyboards to my MPC...then take all the audio outputs of those keyboards and MPC,and run into my soundcard...input 1/2 is my MPC...input 3/4 is my Kronos...I use my soundcard as my mixer to track everything into my DAW on my iPad
you have to run audio outs of your keyboard. I have my MPC audio outs, and keyboard outs, all going into a soundcard. Hooking things up this way is so I can use my MPC as the main sequencer
you should be able to trigger sounds from you phone using MPC, but you’ll also have to route the audio from your phone to your speakers through a mixer or interface
you should be able to with the MIDI IN/OUT on the QY100, but only one keyboard if your were using it as the main sequencer....maybe could get a MIDI Multiport
okay so im about to get my first keyboard setup and I wanna do this kronos Mpc live a keyboard amp (ex Vox its a white 50 watt amp that im gonna buy unless there's better for cheaper for at home use only ) headphones would this setup work flowing however it should hopefully you can give me the what I should do and how I should hook it up . I wanna make sure I have sound and I wanna be able to not have to use my computer in my room ( mainly because I have parents lol. )
you're going to want to get a small mixer too that you can plug both your Kronos and MPC into as well....most mixers will also have a headphone output for you

Say my man I have a Triton also but an MPC One, I've tried to midi I can see the meter moving, but can hear anything. I'm trying to get the sounds from my triton. Even with headphones on I hear nothing. Tell me what I'm doing wrong, I'm all ears!???
you might have to look at some mod6 tutorials...I’ve never used that keyboard, but I would check global MIDI settings on both machines...if you use the MPC as your main sequencer you’ll want to set it as the master, and keyboards as slave...that way when you change MPC bpm, the keyboard changes as well...do you already have MIDI cables connected correctly?
it somewhere in Global settings, with the new update you can connect the keyboard to the MPC via USB and bpm sync....look in Global MIDI settings on both the MPC and your keyboard
I have a korg tr 76 and mv8800. when I sync the tempo clocks, the sequencer gets shady because I'll change sound or pan or volume to 1 track and it simultaneously do the same to another tracks. its freaking annoying. I tried with sync and it works track for track, but the numbers get wacky for instance,, I be fine until I get to track 4 or 5,, then it change the sounds I had for track 1,2 and 3 when I press record on the mv. I wish to find a way to smoothly record track by track from tritan into mv with it changing up or glitching so that I can edit nicely. I must be doing something wrong with the mv. any suggestions? when I hit top from the mv, it changed the lord 1 track back to A000. when I I press record, it changed track 2 from a000 to a001. update- I kept fiddling and diddling with it and figured the solution for the solution but when I turn on the midi external clock from the korg.. still having them problems.
the audio outs from your Moog will have to be connected as well as your audio outs of your MPC....MIDI cables won't trasfer audio, only MIDI data...I'm only guessing this to be your problem, I'm not sure how you're connected
@@MyDeadFriendz I have the midi out from my moog going in to the midi in to my Mpc one...and I have a quarter inch going out of my mpc...so should I have a quarter inch coming out of my moog to a speaker too? would that fix the problem?
you should also have a MIDI out of MPC to MIDI IN of the Moog...and then yes, have the audio outputs of the Moog connected to your speakers...not sure if you have a mixer or soundcard
one has to be out, and the other has to been in...plugging both into the “MIDI IN” I don’t think with do anything...I have MPC as my master sequencer...I go MIDI OUT of my MPC to MIDI IN on my KORG, the MIDI OUT of KORG to MIDI IN on MPC, both have to have their audio outputs connected to speakers with a mixer or audio interface...hope this helps ✌🏻
