Sir, the figure shown, I hope you understood it. 1) heat prob. 2) in newly_built piston , air escaping from joint may not reach to top of the piston. 3) piston is to be replaced often. 4) cost. 5) as the time goes joint hole will be widen. It is major problem.where as in scroll it's not.
Still looking for an answer after 40 years. In motorcycle magazines in the 1980s. Performance shops would "weld the crankshafts" of Kawasakis and Suzukis. Their flagship KZ1100s and GS1100s had assembled crankshafts with roller bearings. Welding made them as strong as one-piece cranks from Honda and Yamaha. How the hell does someone get a weld into the deepest reaches of a crankshaft to make it one-piece??
Auto mech here. I never realized that this is the way small engine crank& rod was held together and balanced. Might be stupid question but what keeps crank and rod from becoming unbalanced while operating? Jus press fit? Yikes.
I have yamaha atv breeze 125. the crankshaft looks the same. The craft man instaled the spoket wrong so the timing was not corrct. It took me by myself many experionces after destroying 3 sproket I coud after heating and pounching to bring it to accurate place. How did you know the plave to instaled it. the marking.
We checked it and than fit 😂 15,20 daily average rods fitting in Crankshafts sprocket timing 100% accurate. No problem dear grow up. Why you destroy 3 sprockets? Did you not checked it's before?
