We teamed up with Vodafone for a visit to Wrexham RFC, delivering a session aimed at inspiring the next generation of women and girls whilst spreading awareness around mental health.
Vodafone are the Official Connectivity Partner of LooseHeadz, offering free 5G SIM cards to all UK-based partner clubs. The session was supported by Welsh rugby player Ffion Lewis, who served as a brilliant role model, sharing her experiences and insights with Wrexham RFC.
We heard some powerful stories from the women and girls of Wrexham RFC, sharing how rugby has been a pivotal force in their lives, offering not just a sport but a lifeline and a source of profound positive impact. These stories underscored the transformative power of rugby, not only as a physical engagement but as a platform for mental health support and community.
LooseHeadz are on a mission to place a mental health lead at every rugby club in the world. This event at Wrexham RFC is a shining example of how rugby can be a conduit for change, bringing issues of mental health to the forefront, challenging stigma, and creating a supportive environment for all.
