Another small tip to add all these below. I was set up and using this thermostat 2 years, fabulous work. Just switched internet provider and again pain to connect. After 2 hours trying I find out that need to be very close to thermostat with smartphone, like literally couple inches away. Maybe this advice helps someone. Overall awesome thermostat, recommended!
Good God!!!! What a NIGHTMARE that was 😬. Eventually, after 2 days of trying, I got both my thermostats to connect!!!! The key issues to check...1) Ensure you connect your phone to a local 2.4Ghz wireless network - this is the same network that will automatically get picked up in the app 2) The big breakthrough...I ordered a replacement unit which came with slightly different instructions...you must ENSURE that the SSID does NOT contain ANY special characters....no dashes, no underscores, no spaces - just regular letters and numbers - can be a mix of upper and lower case. I was using a WiFi extender which had a compliant name/SSID, but it was linking to my BT Home Hub 6 whose name contained a “-“ 😬😬😬😬😬. I simply had to rename my BT Hub, reconnect my WiFi extender and then the magic happened!!! I wanted to share this with you guys to save you masses of frustration. 🙂
Ok, this has been frustrating to get the connection to work, but after a lot of 'playing' I finally sorted out all the issues. The most crucial point is how this works and with what...... so here we go The setup using the buttons on the thermostat is well laid out above, i.e. Go to FAC and set it to 32, press power off, then wake it up using the setup keys as per the manual. One big thing is that the touch screen uses different keys to the one with physical buttons, it is mentioned in the sheet supplied, but in small print!! You then should see the wifi sign flashing 'quickly', it has been written elsewhere that you have 2 mins to complete the setup now. The crucial issue is that when you enter the wifi hub and the password, this is to pass this over to the the thermostat so it can login to the wifi hub. The thermostat uses 2.4Ghz, BUT new kit tends to use 5Ghz as standard and is the main reason folk cannot get the thermostat setup. This is a big pain, I have new iPhone and BT hub which default to 5Ghz if it can, I had to turn 5Ghz off on the hub to get the iPhone to start working at 2.4Ghz. ONce this was done, then happy days and each and every one was setup first time, whereas before I could never get it to setup. After that it just works as it should. When they are setup you can reenable the 5Ghz on the hub. There is a mention of this in the app, but well hidden away......
Hi, I agree with almost what you say. Except that when we have set up the connection we can reenable the 5Ghz on the hub. I did it and the app show the below msg "Equipment isn't online" so, if I really want to control remotely the thermostat I have no other option that having 2 signal in my wifi , 2,4 and 5ghz. How did you manage to reenable the 5ghz instead of have both signals? thank you in advance

Finally i got it connected! I wasted such a lot of time with that awful manual! ?????? what was the problem?? Somebody should improve this manual !!!!!!!......... After having set "FAC" to 10 or 32 the unit has to be shut off (step 7) Now You should prepare Your phone: with the correct data of Your personal WIFI Network. (dont do it after step 8 but do it NOW, but dont start Search) Now do step 8: press and hold the clock-symbol then press "on" (The symbols are swapped in the manual-text but not under the pics) Now the WIFI-Symbol blinks fast ( fast, not slow! this is important!) You have only about 1 or two minutes to do the search with Your Phone so it is good to have entered everything before! This was my problem! After 2 minutes without being connected the WIFI-Symbol is still blinking but not as fast as in the first minutes. When blinking slow, the APP will not find anything. It is not mentioned in the manual that everything has to be done in this short time. While doing step 9 (enter WIFI......)i did not see that it was blinking fast at first and then slow.The meaning of the blinking-speed is not mentioned and so as it was blinking as described i thought everything was done correct................ If You try it again of any reason, You must start again at the beginning: Skip step 2 or at least do not start search now (not clear in the manual) skip step 3 there will be nothing but an error message Set "FAC" to 10 or 32. Switch the thermostat off. prepare Your Phone but do not start search. Press and hold "Time-Symbol" and press "ON" release the buttons Now it should blink fast! now immediately start search in the app! This should work. (It did with the FLOUREON-APP , the BEOK-APP and with the Iphone) There is another thing that is not clear to understand: "POn" has to be set to 01 to enable the buffer-battery for the clock (Factory Default is 00) Please, dear people at BEOK, please write a new and better manual! And please make a new Video that runs in real time or slower with the right hints at the important moments. The thermostats are very good! They deserve a better manual! Two other things where i had minor problems: 1.Here in Germany the holes for switches (the cassettes in the wall) are sometimes installed with the screws placed vertical. At least in one case I will have to drill additional holes in the backplate (for countersunk screws as there is not much place behind the battery.) 2. the cable of the external sensor is too soft to get it into the tube for measuring the floor-temperature. i had to fix them to the old sensors from the replaced thermostats to push them into the tubes

When the memory function is turned on(01 mode), after a sudden power outage and once again power supply, the thermostat will remain in the state before the power off. For example, if your thermostat in the power-on state before the power interruption, and again restore power, the thermostat will automatically boot, and do not require you to do any operation, at the same time, all settings of the thermostat are retained. The factory setting turns this function off (00 mode) to prevent some customers from forgetting to turn off the thermostat when leaving the house, resulting in wasted energy. The thermostat's back junction box is a European standard mounting box (80 x 80mm). For feedback on screw holes and external sensors, we will also inform our technical departments and production departments to meet the needs of more buyers. I got it working on the second try (then I watched the video for the first time closely), I followed the video step-by-step, it's important to switch off the thermostat twice and exactly like in the video after you have chosen FAC 10 (at 0:17-0:27).
Kannst du mir vielleicht helfen? Ich Fummel hier jetzt schon seit Wochen immer mal wieder rum, bekomme meinen letzten Thermostat (6 von 7 funktionieren) aber einfach nicht verbunden! Ich hab mittlerweile FAC 8,9, 10 sowie 32 mehrmals getestet - keine Chance! Auf FAC 10 erhalte ich von der App die Meldung dass die Konfiguration erfolgreich war, jedoch finde ich das Gerät trotzdem nicht. Hast du vielleicht einen Tipp? Wie resete ich diesen Thermostat komplett neu? WLAN blinkt jedenfalls seit Wochen.

Hello, can a thermostat be operated within a single wifi router? Or, after connecting to WIFI, the thermostat has its IP address and I can set the router to redirect and control the thermostat from anywhere in the world through a public IP address.
Even after trying it "hundreds of times" with four different Thermostats and two different Smartphones Iphone and Android as well and reinstalling the app several times........ there is no connection to WIFI. Why have i to put in the WIFI Name and Password of my local WIFI twice (Step 2 and step 9) I think there should be a special WIFI Name and Password to connect with the termostat to be able to cange its settings. There must be something wrong! A wonderful thermostat but an absolutely awful manual! The Symbols in the WIFI "manual" are interchanged in the text (Symbols of clock and power-button) under the Pictures it is correct........ The WIFI - icon is flashing as it should in Step 8 but the app does not find any device! Even after viewing this video (why must it run that fast?) dozens of times, i cant solve the problem! Hmmmmmmmm.................... :-(
