Marianne: "I would never to pretend to not know you, Connell." If only Connell would do the same thing for her at school.

An absolutely brilliant video. Very well done! You see Daisy, you should drop that utterly inept and amateurish Varey. The Daily Mail headline of 27 Jan 2021, says it all. It reads: Paul Mescal insists 'there wasn't a huge amount of acting going on' in his realistic sex scenes with Normal People co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones because he 'liked her very much' The ‘chemistry wasn’t just superb acting, it was real! He continues: You know when you have "it",' of having chemistry with his scene partner. 'I knew when I was with Daisy that it felt natural, that there wasn't a huge amount of "acting" going on. 'Gushing about his co-star, Paul added: 'When you have that chemistry it makes it so much fun! Daisy and I liked each other very much' So that's probably the root of it: having a similar sense of humour, thinking about the world in a relatively similar way and being able to communicate all that.'

Question for the Irish: When I watched this what really occurred to me was the fact that Connell has this very good and communicating relationship with his mum. Like he tells her a lot. Where I’m from boys barely speak to their parents and keep a lot to themselves, especially who they take to parties or debs or whatever. It’s just very strange to me how he told her that in the car like she’s one of his pals.

Well Lorraine did have Connell when she was 17 so I think having him so young and raising through the motions at that age may develop some sense of relatability between the two. That is just my opinion

Matt Archambault - as an Irishman, I can confirm that indecision is normal for Irish men. We leave most - if not all - important decisions to women. Basically, it absolves us of any responsibility!

Connell must have crazy not to have invited Daisy, by far the prettiest girl in his class, to the Debs. She's just so incredibly pretty, both as a girl in school and as a women at Trinity. Well done Daisy...a brilliant performance! Happy 23rd Birthday for the 24 May 2021.
