I think if he'd relaxed a little, she'd have more to say. But yeah, this is a magic moment for Ronny. I'm 48 and I always felt trust with her. Decent...
Ironically she's overcome so much sexism but then in her NPR Fresh Air interview she ends it by calling the female interviewer a "hottie". No joke. It's freely available 46min of the 48:45 interview.
I was in the audience today and I was impressed on how nice Connie was. She went to every staff member after the show and shook hands and thanked them. Very down to earth!

Mad respect for Connie Chung - hard working and honest like back in the day.A sweet light hearted interview. Just what I needed to help alleviate my Pre - Election Anxiety. Will deal with my Post - Election Anxiety if the time comes . Vote BLUE ALL THE WAY
It's heartwarming how much Ronnie genuinely has reverence for her. I don't think about Asian-American reporters having it rough, particularly not after Full House's pandering. But she earned her place and a place for all people of Asian decent. Like Ronnie said, we don't know our history. I'm happy he does.
I love Connie Chung! She was a formidable journalist and her investigative work and reporting was deeply appreciated. I really do hope true journalism returns as we need it so desperately. Also, she's just such a lovely person!
I haven't seen Connie Chung for such a long time! She's part of my favorite 30 Rock line: "Let me tell you a story. It's 1994. I went ice climbing, and I fell into a crevasse. I hurt my leg, and I couldn't climb back up. So fighting every natural instinct, doing the thing that seemed most awful to me, I climbed down into the darkness. And that's how I got out. when I got back to base camp, I went and found my fellow climber, the one who had cut me loose after I fell. And I said, ''Connie Chung, you did the right thing.''" 😂
Oh come on we have more now than ever, so much talent to choose from, Wallace, Burnett, Larry O., Rachel, Melber, Hayes, even Tapper's stepped up recently! A plethora, a cornucopia! Top o' the list Amy Goodman!
Love & Hugs to Connie Chung from Alberta, Canada, what a beautiful soul🤗🙏That was a great interview Ronny C.👍👍👏👏love your sense of humor and the respect you showed for this beautiful lady❤
While after such a long time in the anchor chair most would have an understanding of "media training;" but she wrote the book...Smart deflections, brought the conversation subtly back on course when Ronny got starstruck a couple times. Very wholesome
I read the book - it's hard to put down! Even the stuff about her parents is totally interesting. She also spills some serious dirt on her celebrity friends lol...
Ironically she's overcome so much sexism- as you probably read in the book- but then in her NPR Fresh Air interview she ends it by calling the female interviewer a "hottie". No joke. It's freely available 46min of the 48:45 interview.
Saw her walking along Columbus Avenue back in the late 1980s, she was still a young woman then, she stood out, too. Most NYers leave the celebs alone, that's one cool thing about us.
Connie's a legend, but let's not pretend that the "decline" of modern media didn't start with a comparatively naive populace being lied to repeatedly by corporate TV anchors. Full respect to Ms. Chung; I'm sure she's well aware.
