I adore Ms Francis, back in 1987 while I was in College I worked at the Diplomat Hotel in Hollywood Florida, she had regular gigs there. One peticular night, there was an after party and they needed some extra help serving drinks and I got to hang out at her after party with what I am sure was a room filled with old time mobsters. It was a night I will never forget and she could not have been more kind and graceful to me. Whenever I see anything posted on Ms Francis I stop and watch her sing in that most magnificent tone and remember her and how kind she was as a human being.

Good heavens, I've never seen anyone performing this way, this woman brought up tears into my eyes, I could tell she was singing for real that day, she was not lip sinking what an incredible performance, it's just amazing, the very first time I ever saw her was in the Movie Where the boys are along with Yvette Mimieux which passed away in her sleep about a year ago, and she was another another beauty too alone with the other actresses from that movie, Connie Francis was, is, and it will be a superb singer and always remembered

I've always loved Connie Francis....at one time up until the 80s at least, she was the highest selling female vocalist of all time. Every song she sang is a winner! She had a lot of tragedies in her life and I think the biggest was never marrying Bobby Darin. Bless her! ♥

Connie Francis took this mediocre song with average lyrics into a magical moment simply because of her magnificent voice and huge heart.

It was a guarantee when I was younger that when I went to my Grandmas on a Sunday morning with my Nan there'd be dinner cooking and she'd have Where The Boys Are playing, every Sunday. This is how I fell in love with Connie Francis and she has been my favourite singer ever since. My Heart Has A Mind Of Its Own is my favourite upbeat song of hers and I don't think there is any slow song that could compare to Mama. Her voice is silken, there is no other like her and its a crying shame she doesn't have the recognition she deserves. Her songs should be played everywhere. Here she shows how effortless it is to belt out those big notes. At 2:20, when she goes up a note mid breath without breaking a sweat, that's singing.

Hi people in charge of The Ed Sullivan Show! Connie Francis is the best and I now subscribed to you. I'm sure that many will agree with me that we would appreciate you uploading ALL of the Connie Francis performances on the show and interviews. She is the Queen of music and especially when music was classy, meaningful and singing was a real talent you had instead of autotuning for those girls who were only attractive. She had it all. She got screwed by MGM because they hated that she was in charge due to them not believing in her before who's sorry now. Then she sold the most in MGM history and was awarded the gold Cadillac and etc. They couldn't handle that a Woman especially at that time was dominant and in control of her career. She hung in there great with the Beatles. It would have been much more highlighted in chart's if MGM didn't purposely stop promoting her. I don't respect MGM at all for this b.s. She looks gorgeous here but decided to get a nose job in 1977 a few years after this which messed up her voice and she was raped in 1974 and then her brother was murdered in 1981. That all breaks my heart. She is a beautiful, warm hearted, strong, surviving, influencing, classy woman who has thousands of amazing songs. They all need to be released by MGM/Universal. Can you help make that happen with your power and good influences? She is my hero and we all would be sincerely grateful if we get the songs and she sees it all happen before her time comes which I hope will be many years from now. It's always great to see Connie Francis! She really is one of the greatest singers of all time. Connie made a recording of "Born Free" and I think it was one of her favorite recordings she had ever done. Teresa Brewer and Connie Francis were the two singers who guested on the Ed Sullivan show more times than any others, so you know that Ed loved them, and with good reason. Both are fantastic singers with very different styles. I love them both, and hope to see many postings of them! Thank you for this clip!
