@@gabez8 i was born in 83, i used to lay awake in my bed at night in the early 90s and listen to this song being played every night at the same time by the local radio station on my sony walkman that had a built in fm radio tuner

My mom's name was Connie. I played this for her a few years ago and she didn't like it but now that she is no longer here I can't help but to enjoy this version and think of her. I think deep down she was entertained by this song. The 80's were awesome.
Man I was in Rio Brazil when I heard this song coming from the street! The craziest part is they didn't even know what she was saying but everyone was dancing. I was standing in the window just rocking with them
Man me and my dad would always listen to this song and all the funky beats from this era. Im a 90s kid and started listening to these songs since early 2000s. Geez how time has gone by. I really hope someday people will come back to this era of music and enjoy it. According to my dad this was the best time to be alive and I totally agree.
This was a care free time. No judgement No trying to see what could be wrong with the situation you were in. It was just let’s all have a good time and be good to each other.
Word to your father. I agree. Child of the 80s. Never once worried about a school shooting. Didn’t have to stress about cyberbullying. No such thing as a perfect time, and even in the 80s people suffered no doubt, but I would say it was about as close as we came to world peace. Everything has devolved since.
