She's precious. She's all heart. Dance like no one is watching. Sing like no one is listening. So refreshing in our rather superficial, judgmental world. Let's get back to basics and enjoy that which is pleasurable and real. She's the real deal. An angel incarnate.
For a 6 years old to preform like a professional , singing as good, if not better than them, is rare and this is true talent, a gift for her from god. Thanks, you are amazing.
I know this sounds kind of cliche but she really does have the voice of an angel!!! To be that young and have that amazing of a voice is a talent truly from God!!! She brings me to tears.
People are always amazed by talented kids, but the truth is people like this are born with this talent. From dot they have it. It doesn't need to be learned it's just there. Less fortunate people like me have to cultivate their musical abilities. This also can be done, but there are others like this child that are born with it already.
Singing one of the toughest songs ever and she killed it. NVM her present age, if someone can sing like this when they are 20, that's still better than most. She's born to sing
What a gal! What a great career so far! What a heart she has like an angel of comfort for this needy world! Making poor Amanda the judge cry on Britains Got Talent at age six in 2006. Singing to comfort her mom after her grandmom' passed away, and ever since, bringing happiness all over the world, laughing, covering so many pop songs, writing good songs too! Onward and upwards, sweet British kid with all that music talent - blessings to you and yours, this year and always! -oldmusicguy
she is absolutely amazing for how young she is, she's a young girl with an amazing voice she is going to go so far in life and have a wonderful carer so anyone who thinks this girl carnt sing they need to grow up and listen to her properly and you will soon love her she is sweet and funny and has an amazing personality
Whitney houston as good as she is lets give credit to who made it famous YEARS PRIOR oh wait for it plz wait for it. Oh that would be in one name DOLLY
Connie has gone on to a continuous state of blowing everyone's mind with her talent. She now has 4 albums at age 13 and continues to make giant strides in music production. She powerfully sings many difficult songs, plays piano beautifully while singing, not to mention guitar. She has written several songs herself and works with top writers to generate more. Her career is about to explode again. You can see this at her ConnieTalbotOfficial RU-vid channel with over 140 stunning videos. On top of all this, she remains the cutest, kindest person you will ever lose your heart to.
Then please don't buy her first CD. You'll NEVER stop crying. This track is on there, and at the very end she speaks the words "That one's for you, Nan!". I just turned into a blubbering mess.
+Cleve Reeves I know, right? I was surprised at how many hit dislike. It's sad. On one hand, maybe people don't like that she's so young and already performing like this. That's the only reason I can see--concern. But if she loves it, she should keep on singing.
This is a very hard song for many singers to do, the fact that shes so young and can hold notes like this are pretty amazing obviously still not comparable to Whitney Houston but stilll bravooo
She's extremely talented for her age! I hope she continues singing... I just fear she'll end up like so many other younger prodigies... Brittany Spears, Justin Beiber, Miley Cyrus... Don't get me wrong some of their music is really good! But... They just turned into crazy people...
You know, I thought that this young lady was fantastic; and I've read some of those comments from people who probably couldn't carry a tune in a bucket, and thought by now,SHE'S got money and YOU don't. YOU GO GIRL! My Daughter said that.
+eartianwerewolf... Whitney Houston Didn't make this song or even sing it first, both Singing and writing of the song goes to Dolly Pardon yet no one gives her credit
Who gives you the right to call me a Hater. Whitney would even have a version if it wasn't for Dolly. Go look up why Dolly wrote the song you may or may not see it was a life changing event that made the song come to be. If you don't know here start point. Porter Wagner and Dolly Pardon business split. Whitney did sing it well but it was a twist of Dolly version that came from the heart .
Absolutely amazing pre-teen kid; who would have thought she could take on Witney Houston; when most adults can't; or, wouldn't even dare. I guess, it's true that when you're young; you're also completely fearless. The only trouble I have with this is...when a kid is still so young...should they really be up there on stage; maybe, they should be playing with toys, instead; or, singing in the local choir. I wouldn't wish her to grow up...thinking my childhood got destroyed by chasing after 'fame'! So, I just worry that she might have been put forward a bit too soon. However, if she enjoys it...and, apparently, she does...and, she's not being 'forced' to do that...then, just simply GREAT! ;-)
Hello, how are you? You should check Connie Talbot's channel, she is turning fourteen in november. She is still singing, and is getting better with time! The reason most adults can't sing Whitney's song is that when you are a child, it is easier to hit higher notes, since you have a higher pitch when a child. That is why it is important to keep practicing and having a good technique, so you don't lose it. Sorry if I wrote something wrong, I'm not american neither british. Have a good day!
Hi Beatrice, and, thanks very much for your reply. ;-) Yea, I guess, you're quite right...; kids voices are not yet 'broken'...so, they can imitate anybody, I guess; though, I'm not entirely sure that all kids can do this quite as well as she...? Or, if they would have enough guts to even want to try... I've already subscribed to Connie Talbot's channel before; because I was curious to find out how her voice would change as she grows older.
I generally agree with you--and trouble does often ensue when young kids are placed in the hands of professional agents and big record companies. But that is not what has happened with Connie. She and her parents were determined that singing would be only a side-line with Connie at this stage of her life--that her most important priorities were home life and school. That's how it has been over the past seven years. She has not signed up with a major record company or agent. She continually receives gig offers from around the world--especially Asia--but accepts only those that fit in with her school schedule. She still sang in her school choir. When she started making home videos, the quality of the sound was pretty bad because she was using a karaoke machine. Gradually, as she could afford it from her performance and album sales fees (she's working on her 5th album), the quality of her equipment improved until today she has practically a professional studio at home. She still presents home videos where she acknowledges that she has not yet practiced a new song a lot, but likes the song so much that she wants to share it with her "friends" in the public--and she insists on using that term, not "fans". Connie is a self-confident, but very modest girl. Many commentators under her videos indicate the wish that she could be their sister or daughter. Connie's focus is on enjoying life and having fun--and it shows. Her parents have done a great job guiding her.
Hal Stein I wonder if there is a narrow window for her fame... Shirley Temple comes to mind. Imagine someone telling Shirley Temple at her peak, that with additional lessons, she'll be a greater star when she grows up. It's overcoming the challenges of the age that draws the crowds. My following joke can apply here... I used to be wise beyond my age, but then I got older. Connie Talbot could someday be a doctor, the way Shirley Temple became a politician. Point here, the performing arts should not only define who a person is.
The fact that you can hear when she is not sure of the note she has to hit for like a second but still keeps it together makes it a really honest and beautiful rendition of the song. She has a lot of talent
For being 7 years old? Dang she has really good sense of tone quality and has great sense of pitch haha... She will learn voice control and slides and bla bla later on haha :) anyone kknow where i can find her in 2015? i want to see what she's like when she's older!!
