This video seeks to highlight the feelings that Connor feels towards his father, but unfortunately they are not reciprocated.
He believes with all his heart to be able to enjoy a father that never had but for Haytham, he was nothing more than a temporary ally, to be eliminated if necessary, for the "good of the cause."

I don't know if it's better or worse, but Haytham actually felt something for Connor, as was stated in his journal, and was temporary something like a guardian angel to him. It's... it's just so heartbreaking that he had to die, and by the hand of his very own son... Perfect video and great choice of song and scenes.

I still remember that part where Achilles is lying in bed, and he's talking to Connor. And Connor really feels that he can reconnect with Haytham. Of course, Achilles says it isn't possible. But, GOD, I kinda wish that it was. :'( You've made a great video!

Read book... you'll find out... i cried hardly while reading... this broken heart... Haytham writing last words to Connor "I'm sure you understand" about what he got through... all pain he had in his life and writing "My father never lied to me"

ISLOW S it's not really sad though because Haytham got what he deserved he. he became a Templar and when his father who was Edward Kennway died but that was understandable because his father never taught him of the assassins and templars. When he learned his father was an assassin he didn't change to become an assassin he stayed a templar in fact he began to question his father's methods.And i'm not talking about his golden pirate years I mean the way he thinks acts and what should of done.Haytham basically wiped out all the colonel assassins plus Eward''s best friend Adewele. ignore the splelling error in his name

Johnathan Thompson Well, you're right/ That's why it's sad. Cuz he got through his life believing in lie, in what's wrong. If he'd admitted that, it would meant he lived for nothing. At the end what he had was only his Order and his status. He had no real friends, no family (i mean real family).. Everyone he knew died and all he knew was a lie. So, you think it would be that easy for him to become an assassin? He was too deep in Templar's order and ideas.. wjhat he saw made him believe in that. He lost his faith in people.. and we could see him not as an evil, but as the one who had lost his way and hope.

but before he went to the colonies before he killed that old guy in the being of ac3 before he got his hidden blades. he found the person who killed his father and killed him but the mercenary told him that his Haytham's father was an assassin.

i keep visiting this video again and again, and after reading foresaken, this song gives a whole new perspective, u did a great work, this song would have been meaningless to me, if not for your video, sad how Haytham endes up, his whole life was a lie and he had no real ppl in his life at the end.. Makes me really sad...

Came back to this video after just replaying AC 3 remastered on Ps4. Man people really wonder why this installment in the series is my all time favorite. Sure it has its flaws, like all of them do, but this one to me had the hardest hitting storyline, especially if you're part cherokee native/native decent like Connor, or have an absent father who still felt like he could just step into your life like he never left. This video gave me chills the first time I watched it years ago, and here I am again, still getting chills when I watch it.

haytham was connors biological father but he didnt accept him as a one because he never knew his father his whole childhood and the fact haytham and his friends slaghtered almost all of connors whole village and mother. the one who he accepts as a father figure is achillies the most.
