Conor deserved a better ending to his Wolves career. Massive respect to him for everything he did during his time at the club. From Playing in Championship to captaining Wolves in Europe as an international. Club Legend 🐺
Great interview Baz. As a wolves fan I absolutely love coady, the best leader we’ve had in my lifetime. The way Bruno lage treated him was a disgrace I can’t stand the man. Terrible mistake letting him go. I hope coady knows 99% of wolves fans love him and always will.
Thanks mate. Yeah it seemed a bit mad from the outside seeing that happen given how good Wolves and Conor had been. Thanks for taking the time to comment 👍
@@MoreThanAGame_really strange decision. Lage wanted to move away from the back 3, he gets sacked and ironically we’re back in the 3 now playing some great stuff 😂 only thing I thought you’d ask him about was the Raul injury against Arsenal. Great interview mate !
Gutted Everton had to let him go, but that MOTM performance on the final day alone will always be a huge contribution to the club. Great to see him doing well at Leicester
Spot on Mike. He played a massive part in that Bournemouth game and that clearance 2nd half was huge. He will be back in the Premier League next season.
Toffee hear. Me mate Is a Wolves fan and to this day, he couldn't believe they let club captain Coady go to Everton. He was proper fuming. Such a shame Everton didn't have 4 million to sign him after loan. Solid pro and even better human being.
Best captain wolves have had in my lifetime. Happened to meet him the day he signed for wolves in Compton, would never have thought that he’d lead us into Europe.
As a wolves fan.. I'm so sorry the way Bruno Lage and Sellars dealt with you Connor. We all love you and will forever hate how you were shoved out of the group. 🖤💛🐺
Brilliant interview of a brilliant man. We were so shocked at how he left and will never forgive Lage/Sellers for it. One of the best captains we’ve ever had 🐺
Boss podcast, sad we couldn't keep Coady after all his hard work. He was a great leader on and off the pitch! Glad he doesn't hold a grudge and hope he stays happy and healthy!❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
As a Wolves fan i can honestly say i loved this scouser for his passion and hunger to play,he gave his all and sold his soul for the Wolves, listening to him singing 5 at the back in the tunnel before kick off was great, miss the bloke loads sorry the way it ended, good kuck for the future Con stay fit FWAW💪🏻
Brilliant comment Norm, I know Conor has read a lot of these comments and the feeling from him to Wolves fans is mutual 👍 Spread the word to watch the vid 😃
I’m 54 yrs old man …….I got goose bumps listening to this. What a wonderful time this was being a Wolves Fan…. At times I was dumbfounded, witnessing brilliance Thank you , so much..all concerned x
You never really know someone until you know them, especially celebrities and sportsmen, but one can't help but feel Coady is one of the few rare thoroughly good guys.
He was a fantatsic loyal captain for my team wolves took us to europe, a cup semi final and every year improved and you could always hear his voice keeping our heads up and making this club what it is now. All the best conor 👍🐺
I used to see Connor regularly at Wolves training ground coming and going in his Range Rover. I worked as a caretaker in the school opposite. He was the standout professional with fans or school kids who would gather at the gates, always had time for them unlike some pros who just drove past. Great bloke, unfortunately the victim of an incompetent manager who regularly made the wrong decisions leading to his sacking. Always a Wolves legend. COYW
Top player and a Great captain for Wolves. Always loved his fire, passion and leadership. Awful how Conor left us. Would have him back in a heartbeat 😎👍🐺🐺🐺
What a fantastic interview, the insight from Conor is class but love the fact his passion for football just jumps out the screen. Top class lads keep it up 👍🏻
I love everything about this man he a great lad loves playing footbal and loved playing for us last and would have stayed if he could. Connor always talks well, he's also plays and understan how set thing up tacticall, connor will a good manager, chief telent scout, academy loans coordinatorand r even a pundit when retires. Great interview baz
Thank you Abigail 😃 Yes Conor just loves footy and gives me hope that there are more lads in the game like him to improve the image of footballers rather than Fast Cars, Louis Vuitton bags etc
Outstanding episode in which Conor shows he is a model professional. I was gutted that Everton did not pick him up after the loan period. It was a no brainer for the club and I don't understand why it didn't happen. Well done lads for another great episode.
@@MoreThanAGame_ seems such normal lad which is refreshing to see!! Brilliant interview from yourself Baz as an Evertonian iv’e been enjoying listening to you and ped for years. Keep up the good work 👍
This guy was a legend, and a great servant to my club, only to be treated like shit. Hope everything goes well for you Coades, you will always be welcomed back at the Molineux by the fans.🐺
As a Wolves fan , this man was and is a legend at Wolves. So much respect and love for him. Still loved by the fans. Everything you want in a player and Captain. Lage was an absolute tool and could not stand the man.
Absolutely superb this !!!! What a fantastic guest Conor was, great to hear a professional footballer with a great outlook on the game 👍 well done lads.
His enthusiasm is infectious. Knew from his Wolves days that he was a Kopite as a kid but had no real idea of his early pro career. Comes across as one of those pro's who gives his profession a good name. Despite last seasons on field problems for our team, he was certainly a help rather than a hindrance and I personally would have loved us to have kept him although as we know that proved impossible. All the best for your time at Leicester Conor.
Conor is one of the most genuine and down to earth pro footballers there is and as a Wolves fan it was shameful the way he was treated at the end. His contribution to the club and the Wolves community on and off the pitch cannot be understated and I hope at some point the club do something to recognise this.
Conor mate , you are a class man as well as the best captain wolves have had in my 40 odd years as a fan , what they did to you at the end was a bloody disgrace , whatever you do in this life , all I can say is best wishes pal , and thank you for the service you gave our club , on and off the pitch 🧡🖤
It’s shocking to think that Coady was only with us for a year, feels like he’s as blue as they come - he even came to sit in the stands with coleman this season during his injury which was so heartwarming
Brilliant interview 🙌🏻 loved hearing about his whole career journey.. Boss how he still referred to Everton and we and us. Once Everton has touched you 💙
Conor Coady was great for Wolves, great leader on and off the pitch also was great doing interviews with his scouse humour, deserved a better ending at Wolves.Hope he is doing well and him and family are well.Keep well Conor and thanks. Crezzy.
Conor is a CLASS ACT, Wolves were extremely disrespectful to him considering he had been there so long & had been a captain. I was GUTTED when we could not make his loan permanent & we all know why that was. Wish him all the best. 😀👍💙 COYB
Fantastic for the Wolves. Much appreciate his many commanding performances for the team. His demise at Molineaux was disappointing and disgraceful. Only this season is the Wolves defense showing more solidity - in large measure it’s because Coady was let go. An excellent leader of men and a great Captain.
"How far do we have to go back ?" Great question straight off the bat. I saw a very young Conor Coady playing for the youth academy at Leigh Sports Village against Blackburn Rovers (if I remember right) The Liverpool team included a young Suso & Sterling, Morgan & Wisdom. EDIT ; I mentioned these players before he eluded to them 😂 Conor played in midfield & whilst I can't categorically state he was the best or superior technically or skillfully, he certainly wasn't. What really struck me & still to this day resonates, that throughout this lads career it was his character on the field & further more his desire & determination as a natural born leader. Throughout the entiriety of the game, Conor was extremely vociferous, he was persistent in encouraging & demanding more of the players. Constantly in the ears of the opposition aswell ! Winding them up. You could clearly see his devotion & commitment not just to the team but to his football in general. His work ethic & ethos was what defined him, almost sacrificing his own role - personal achievements for the benefit of the team. But what's really pertinent here & specifically to the point I'm making, the match really wasn't important. Yet to see a young lad play this way, behave this way & think this way, some 20 years ago, still sticks with me. Conor really defines what it is to be a consumate professional football player and can look back on a very good career.
Hoon yo speak again conner was brilliant for us i cant believe he got let go an Keane still here .we went out side because mina if can stay fit his top level defender and proved it conner should still be at everton
Can listen too Coady talk about footy & he’s upbringing for HOURSSSSSS & HOURSSSSSSS…. Can just tell HES WORKED HARD DEDICATED & VERY GRATEFUL FOR THE POSITION HES IN ONE OF BEST PROFESSIONALS ABOUT… ⚽️👍✅💯
thank you so very conor for playing for wolves you were the best you gave you all we will never forget you you class i love the way you play you no what big club is playing for wolves is big very big we wish you still played for wolves thankyou so much top top guy hall the very best conor
Super interview this, great watch/listen. Always enjoyed his post match interviews, just honest, open, humourous and comes across sound and dead easy going. Strikes me as the type of guy you'd want as a best mate, just has that aura about him. Class player and a real leader imo. I always remember watching when he played during lockdown when there were no crowds in the stadium and all you could hear for the 90mins was Conor shouting constantly. Organising, pulling the team together and just driving the team forward. Always wish Utd would have made a move for him (I know this obviously would have never happened) as he is the type of player I think would have helped the team immensely. Was surprised Wolves let him go, but as classy as he comes across, just got on with it. Brilliant player, quality profossional and all round top lad. Wish him well.
Unbelievable for us at Everton. Never wanted a player so stay around, wouldn’t have got the game time with tarks and jarard but still a big character in that season. If it ever happens he will get a massive reception when back at Goodison.
Gutted we let him go, great pro and obviously a top man as well who loves the game. Our centre back partnership is pretty sound at the moment to be fair but to lose a player of coady’s stature is gut-wrenching. Hope to see him again soon in the prem with Leicester. 💙
Looking from afar as i am not a Wolves fan it was shocking how Conor Coady who had been at Wolves for a large number of seasons and was captain and a mainstay of the team with his performances warranting an England call up was suddenly bombed out by the new manager, unbelievable really as i thought that at the time when i realised he was now playing for Everton.
Great lad, I was gutted he didn't breakthrough to the first team at LFC, always hurts when you watch local lads coming through the ranks and then they don't really get given that chance. He's done himself proud though, great career, real shame Everton weren't in a position to hold on to him
Yeah mate but think LFC just had a few quality midfielders who he would have struggled to replace (his words). But you're correct he's gone on to have a great career, and it was simply down to cash that EFC couldn't keep him. Thanks for the comment 👍
As a Wolves fan, I've seen many captains of the club... Emlyn Hughes, Keith Curle, John De Wolf, Paul Ince, Karl Henry, Danny Batth etc... but Conor remains the best skipper the club has EVER had... how it ended for him, makes my stomach turn. And the nonsense of him not being able to play in a back four is just that... nonsense. I dream of a day Conor is standing in that technical area barking out the instructions... I love O'Neil, but Coads would be a different level.
The palace and bournemouth games the atmosphere was unbelievable but on par with them the fiorentina game beat them 2-0 went out on pens that atmosphere was up there with them for me
