obviously they get bigger and bigger with more fighters who develop reputation, most of this guys werent huge in 2010 and got big now and made the card bigger than the previous ones, use your head brah.
This reporter is awful... Hate it when they try to create beef between fighter by talking like 5 year old girls saying stuff like "Conor, Eddie said you were the easiest fight what do you think about that?" Like shut up and do your job of asking good questions.
he does look proper dejected with his head tilting to the side. That conference must have been depressing though, he seems like he put a lot of effort in but his jokes were lame and all he got was boos and air
hes never done this much media, its drained him. People say they'd love to be in Conor's shoes and get all this attention. But it drains you mentally AND physically. Even Conor needed a break for 202
i got the same vibe. Felt like 2 friends after they had fought and were close to making up but they still had to get out the last things that bothered them
Eddie usually cuts 20-25 lbs to make the 155 lbs weight so thats why he looks drained. I'm sure he'll look better on fight night. This fight is so hard to predict but I can't wait to see it!
It's funny Connor Mcregor laugh in the beginning of the intervieuw but when he notice Eddie Alvarez dind' laugh he's attitude totally changed. Eddie Alvarez doesn't' like to play games!
adambassmusic you must be blind, conor sat there like a scared little man, he doesn't believe he can beat Eddie , look at the press conference conor is emotionally involved
Greg Clarke eddie cuts too much which people are not talking about. he will rehydrate more than conor and will be the heavier man. Eddie comes in close to 171
Aman Mishra There's no truth to that. Eddie is the smaller man in this fight, he's just got a stocky build. Conor also fights around 169-170 come fight day.
Yep, Eddie is reacting in a very suplacative manner, being all nice and respectful because he is no good at the mind games snd is immersed Conors world, definitely got Eddie doubting himself... its masterful play by Conor
jason johnson yup. he looks deflated N depressed. All i can think back to is when Rogan said ''he looks like he's feeling the pressure of this moment'' back when Conor fought Aldo, N that's what i'm seeing here..see how he looks tonight, cant wait :)
For Everyone who is wondering why they have an akward vibe, It's due to the fact that this was after a long day, the hubbub at the press conference, and MULTIPLE interviews where they were asked the same questions. If you search around enough you will find plenty more interviews with exactly the same layout//format which were broadcast on different programs and in other countries ie Canada. So bear that in mind you can only read so much from this one interview, and it's an inaccurate reading without considering all of the factors noted above.
Gotta love all the armchair experts in the comments. Everyone knows the fighters mental and physical condition, everyone knows what the fighters are thinking and everyone knows the outcome of the fight. Everyone is a know it all. And I'm not talking about this video in particular, but 99% of videos featuring Conor McGregor.
Most of what you said is right, at the same time anyone is allowed to say who they think will win. Also they are allowed to say what they think a guy seems to be feeling etc. The difference is when some people claim they know for a fact, that's when it turns into BS. The fact is no one knows, but many people will make predictions for this fight and many will get it right. If someone seems scared then maybe they are, but if it means something is another thing. Personally I don't think much is to learn from both guys on this video, I just see it as two mentally tough guys having to stay on the mic and trying to not think too much about what the other guy said and just keep on track with their goal tomorrow and their self belief.
Mcgregor is looking chilled throughout 205 look at what he is wearing he is just enjoying the moment and confortable this is one of the things that make everyone enjoy watching him.
Jason Whitlock asks some tough awkward questions at times. I'd love to hear him interview these guys when they aren't cutting weight. Both guys look like they don't want to be doing any media at all..
I dont think so. Eddie looks sick of media circle . He is actually much more respecting of Conor now then he was since when 205 was announced . Im sure he is just sick of all and just want to fight ...
He is very dehydrated - Not depressed - saw the weigh in this morning - he smiled after he made weight - now, he wil re-hydrate and be ready for tomorrow -
CONNOR IS HONEST..MUHAMMAD ALI WAS MORE THAN I FIGHTER...HE FOUGHT FPR EQUAL RIGHTS AND JUSTICE..WENT TO JAIL FPR HIS BELIEFS.. NO FIGHTER HAS WALKED THAT WALK..
karamba53 In Reality Ali is Overated because he was handicapped.. n Everyone Felt Bad 4 him... they use to Hate him saying He was a "Runner" but.. he still an All Time Great 4sure..
this is simple there hasnt been an athlete that did the things outside of the ring and gave back so much to people and at the same time was an phenom inside the ring the dude was gone for 3 years in his prime came back and won the title 2 times again THATS why he is the greatest and all that in the golden era for heavy weights in boxing ali AINT overated
my view of the interview was this. Eddie looked like he was done with the bs and is ready to fight. after the press conference and the square off I think he's over it all. I'm not familiar with Eddie, his career or fight history. but I'm familiar with that look. you can tell Connor himself was trying to get to that same level, and be as serious as Eddie during the interview. the intensity coming from Eddie was legit. win or lose he will give it everything. good luck to both. but only one can win.
Eddie's a class act. Good on Conor for stepping back from the Ali comparison. Hope McGregor wins, but have to be honest that the hyperactive ego is wearing a bit thin...
How come I see lots of these comments where Conor is called "Conner" - Common spelling mistake? or is it some attempt at belittling him by calling him by the wrong name?
Probably in the middle of about 50 of these interviews with relatively similar questions every time, takes a lot out of you especially with how much energy they both gave in that press conference
I respect both of these guys and don't mean for this to come off wrong but this interview looked odd. Eddie seemed exhausted and out of it and Connor seemed to be thinking about a lot of other things.... this fight might get crazy.
they have them doing so much media, conor is used to it hes done more media than any fighter in UFC history. hopefully dana lets them rest up soon so they will both be 100% sat night.
PaulTurbo I'm not trying to be rude to you as I know how RU-vid comments can be perceived but I am sure these interviews do sell more PPV. Think about people who didn't realise they were fighting and jus thappened to see this interview because they watch Fox sometimes and happen to have nothing to do Sat night, just an example. The way these videos get shared on the net must bring in many more PPV buys. Just my opinion.
He got another favourable match up with Edward. He always gets punished early and somehow survives. Guys can't continue to fight that way, eventually time catches up on them. If it's not Saturday then it will eventually happen.
Boris Tyson he still has to get inside in order to be able to land his takedowns which means eating shots. Eventually his wrestling will be useless because of the amount of damage he will have taken. He will also gas himself out trying to shoot for takedowns when he's out of range. In the end he will be finished similar to Chad.
BS! Ofc he will lose one day and that will not prove you right . He was ready to fight RDA . If he wins against Eddie that means he got all possible match ups so far in UFC and won them all . Give the man some credit and get your petty jealousy out of it .
xslickstax69 OK. Tell me who he should fight and win to prove his worth ? Welterweight champ ? JJ ? Ronda ? Cyborg ? Where does it stop ? When you admit to yourself same what so many people say - he is talking the talk and walking the walk . Why not just enjoy it ?
Htx457 I stand corrected. He did look a little dehydrated at weigh in did this affect his chin the night of the fight. I'm a very casual MMA fan and it seemed like just about every solid strike McGregor landed Alvarez hit the deck smh. Early stoppage imo but truthfully Alvarez had no shot.
when two fighters especially eddie have this much hatred and anemosity for each other it makes the fight 10 times better then when guys are hugging before they fight and best friends.
these two look tired dana stop working these two and let them use some of thier energy for the fight. these two will be drained before the fight and all the build up will be really underwelming. twood fight with wonderboy will be crazy becuase those two are only there to fight and they are saving it for the fight. i cant beleive how mellow conor is that is unreal even he is tired of trashtalking
