juntjoo nunya He keeps talking shit afterwards but to his next/future opponents not the one he just beat. See the Poirier fight they shook hands in the octagon after the fight.
Kudo he just called him peanut. Referring to how he'd step in to fight for duffy. + his behavior on tuf ... He's an immature annoying jerk. You'd only like a guy like this if he either was on your team or he was a celebrity and you were a typical nut hugger. Hope aldo kicks some humility into his thighs.
Lindee Mayy Aldo wasn't there, he was too superstitious to show up. And even if he did, all we could see would be a skinny, little 12 years old boy body type from the favelas. Conor bless.
Watch the documentary about McGregor, watch his training videos, learn about him. I have never seen a fighter with so much natural strength and talent, whilst simultaneously having such dedication to the sport, the art of MMA. Since he was young he has obsessed over fighting, and human movement and anatomy in particular. He has studied all forms of combat, even known to study gorillas fighting. Say what you will, but he is a true spark. Regardless of what happens in July against Aldo, I guarantee that McGregor will go down in the MMA history books as at least one of the most memorable fighters in history. So many years ahead of him, I look forward to watching Conor McGregor bring in the era of the new mixed martial artists.
I had a dream I was fighting in ufc 189 last night and it was my first professional fight. Connor was kind enough to be my coach and be in my corner against a 10-0 opponent. I got my ass kicked but it was still a badass dream!
He's definitely interesting to listen too, but I'm not sure how much of his analysis of the mental aspect is valid or not, as we'll never truly know what goes through someone's mind. His technical breakdown of combat is very underrated however. Whenever ppl talk about Conor they always talk about his confidence or his drawing ability but one thing I really like about the guy is his scrupulous self critique when he refers to his own fights.
***** lol no. who did mendes beat for his first and second shot at aldo? fucking nobody. edgar beat nobody at featherweight and got a shot straight away. swanson lamas and bermudes all the same deal except they are terribly overrated.
WesternInfantry Conor has been silencing the doubters for years. He'll do it again. He owns Rio, Brazil now; plus, he's the king of Dublin. Can Aldo top that?
This man talks truth, I wish Cat could listen to this man advise. He is a genius on this sport and future champ. No doubt in my mind about that. I'm Mexican but I recognize talent and Mcgregor is at a different level than the rest of the division. I wish that Connor could be in Cat Zingano corner next time. Big fan of him. Saludos!!
How can you not be inspired by this guy... He even gives free precious tips for how to conduct as a fighter... No wonder he is so successful, his mind is too powerful.
Helwani is perceptive at 5:16 in pointing out that UFC 169 is not comparable to UFC 189. UFC 169 was originally scheduled to have Cruz (c) vs Barão (ic) as its main event and Aldo (c) vs Lamas as its co-main, since the former fight was the unification of the bantamweight title, and unification title fights are considered more important than non-unification title fights, even when the former type occurs at a lighter weight than the latter type. After Cruz had to pull out of the fight, Barão automatically became champion, and thus, a non-unification title fight at that lighter weight class, Barão (c) vs Faber, substituted for the main event. But there is no such peculiar series of events that has lead to the scheduling of UFC 189 such that the lighter weight class (non-unification) title fight is considered more important that the heavier weight class (non-unification) title fight.
Please UFC, don't make him do 50 million interviews before the fight again. That combined with the weight cut made him look like a zombie for the Siver fight. He'll need to be at his very best against Aldo.
I agree the UFC are scumbags when they smell a money man, he needs to be well rested for the aldo fight. he said himself the weight cut is usually a smoother process cause he could rest hrs and hrs in the hotel room but he had 14hr media days during his cut which fucked him up
How brilliant is this dude..."she needs to find comfort in the situation," "Judo uses the momentum of the opponent." It's true, the featherweights don't think like this, hell I don't even think any of the lightweights think like this, with perhaps the exception of Pettis and maybe Khabib. Welcome to the McGregor era.
Conor McGreatestOfAllTime WILL dethrone Aldo, murder Mendes, and embarrass Edgar & Swanson. Then, he WILL go to war with Pettis in a superfight of biblical proportions. Mark my words, RU-vid. ;)
Well Your prediction got fucked right quick with Pettis getting destroyed. I wish Pettis won cause i wanted a the Conor McGregor (blessed be his name) super fight against Pettis. I guess we will just settle for super fight vs Cain Velasquez!
Daniel Moloney Yeah lol, I kinda went into fanboy mode for a second. I don't normally try to predict the outcome of fights, but I too wanted Pettis vs. McGregor to happen so bad...well, that, and I never suspected Pettis would lose so spectacularly. Oh well, lesson learned, I won't assume again.
Dramatic and funny how at 3:14 he pauses, gazes at his inner horizons before looking at the mic and saying with 101% conviction "Fuck all de udder stuff".
I am gonna put $1,000 dollars on McGregor winning against Aldo because he is a savage and we still haven't seen his full potential he's the best, I see him coming out like he did against Brimage just on fire and throwing absolute heat. I say 1st round KO via left uppercut!
I'm becoming a bigger fan of this guy. He's different from many fighters because he is a thinking fighter. His approach reminds me of a Muhammad Ali or a Bruce Lee.
Enjoy this man while you still can, once in a lifetime you are able to watch such talented individual and I'm enjoying every second of it so I can answer my grandchildren in colour and style when they ask me later "Who was the greatest of all time opa?" ;)
Here is a compassionate human being. He does not want to inflict unnecessary damage. He said himself he is not an ALI, but he shares similarities with the Great One: like Ali he has reflexes that border on premonition, but chiefly, like Ali he has compassion. Witness Ali club foreman, then cock his right hand without throwing it, but just watching and pivoting round, to watch Foreman go down. Check Conor's fights: you'll never see him frantically trying to get another few punches in before the ref stops it. He knows his power and he knows his work is done. Watch how he puts Seiver down and pauses for a moment for Dean to step-in. When he doesn't he continues but only with just enough force. He is on his way to greatness, I just hope he doesn't do a Nasseem and fuck-up with a growing silly attitude. And here's another thing: he looks like he's on the sauce. I hope he isn't and its all the result of hard work and correct eating. Go Conor.
He can't risk messing up his knee or thumb before fighting Aldo. It makes no money sense for him to do a BJJ tourney first. Sorry, cost/benefit analysis is key.
"She looked like she was in a rush. I was thinking she needs to settle, she needs to find comfort in the environment, because without comfort in the environment, everything is rushed. She need to settle." "Walking in the octagon, say to yourself I am here, I am in no hurry, this is my arena, I am here for the full 25 mins." "When I step in there it's a sigh of relief, i dont care about all the other stuff, what I do it all for is this moment, I'm in no hurry, I want to embrace every bit of it." "It's about finding comfort in the environment, controlling your breathing, comfort in the situation, with that everything else falls into place." "That is what I have mastered, I am in complete control, I am completely comfortable in the environment that is the octagon."
Needles Kane Nope, it's beta boys like you following him around hating on him like a confused tween with her first crush on a boy lol. The rest of us are into MMA for the pure ass beatings executed with style, and McGregor delivers in spades.
Brimage isn't that good anyway. He can't beat Holloway. He can't beat Brandao. He can't beat Poirier. He can't beat Siver. Well... He can't beat Aldo though! It'll always be a case of doubters doubting, but we do not know what Conor McGregor can do. He's never really been pushed, and I honestly cannot wait to see him against world class competition like Aldo. I bet he's nasty as fuck, it'll be a tough test for Aldo. I hope Conor wins, I think it's the right time for a change in the division.
Finally another fucking McGregor interview! I've been waiting to hear an actual intelligent, improvisational interview that you don't get with any of the other UFC fighters.
DjLaserShark You should write to the decision makers at Reebok and tell them why your opinion on who they should sponsor is better than theirs. Actually, don't do that. They're not going to value your opinion. They're happy sponsoring one of the sport's biggest cash cows.
Why the hate?? Disagree with the fans, have your opinion that he won't win and that he's not elite but why knock him? He's never said shit about any of us. I think he has it, he's smooth, unique, world class and I'm Irish, I obviously think he'll win and that's my opinion. None of the Irish go onto you're American (or whoever) fighters and start shit, Conor isn't a cheater or cocaine addict, leave him off.
All of us Mcgregors , tend to talk hellaaaaaaa shit but we ALWAYS back it up , my relative conor is showing the WORLD that we are very proud of our warrior lineage & we come to battle win lose or draw , he's gonna destroy aldo tho ..
Cat absolutely was not trying to hit Conor with the hat she threw, some of the fighters do that when they walk to the cage. Btw Conor is the man. Ariel Ha- Weenie is just trying to stir shit up like always....
"Aldo cannot kick high" - Conor Mcgregor. Aldo will send a kick seemingly to the body. Conor will bend into it , to catch the leg and counter with a left. However the kick will instead loop up, connecting shin to chin, as Conor's eyes roll back and he flops onto the mat like a fish,
"He's not ready to be champion. One day though." -Georges St Pierre. "Aldo will spank Mcgregor" - Anderson Silva "Can't go against the champ." - Jon Jones GOATs opinion > peasants opinion
It just occurred to me it might be partly his fault for Cat's loss not accepting the nice gesture. Hope not. Hope she's not cursing him secretly for dodging the hat like that. It did look insulting even tho he didn't mean to be
Basically he is saying, he himself is the biggest thing in the UFC. He couldn't give a flying fuck about the rest of the fighters in whatever division he is in at the moment. They are all just dudes waiting to get their asses kicked by the GOAT.
Evan Castillo It's so damn crazy seeing a guy come into the world's premier MMA organization and make all the competition look like high school kids having their first scrap. The party I was watching his last fight at everybody there was a buzz with how dominant this guy is and that was before the easy peasy dismantling of Siver. This cat is a whole other breed then what the UFC has ever seen. ENJOY THE SHOW!!!
Haha who had he fought truthfully this has happened many times before when people get brought up too fast and you will see what happens. This fight is just business truthfully.
Evan Castillo You should literally go down to your local indain casino mma circuit and sign up for 4 fights against complete amateur chumps. Talk ass loads of shit while posting it on every social media you have and then whoop those dudes asses in spectacular fashion en route to the title. If you can pull that off at the bottom level like McGregor has done at the elite pro level, that would be impressive as fuck and you would get to make people jealous, instead of being jealous. Just a thought lol.
Rince and Repeat..lol. This guy is always a pleasure to listen to and watch. If it was GSP at 170 I don't think the 2 fights would be on the same card. I haven't looked forward to fight like this in a while. And the new!!!!
For the first time an interview where Mc Gregor sounds like a professional athlete and not a media attention seeking whore. Sounds like he should if he is going to be taken seriously in this sport. HE WILL BE CHAMPION ...and can see him doing well in another division..
When conor beats aldo i hope we don't have to see a rematch it always happens with brazilians and dana gives into them... i wanna see him beat frankie lamas and mendes this year i'm still annoyed we have to wait till freaking july for this.
I don't know how people can hate on this guy, he talks with soo much truth and intelligence, I see no comparisons with him and Chael Sonnen what so ever
The sad reality is it's because of the culture that developed in america now where everybody is afraid to say anything for fear of hurting someone's feelings or coming across not politically correct. In Ireland there's a culture of saying how you feel and how you see things regardless of whether you'll upset someone.
