The Hanuman Chalisa is one of the most popular hymns sung across the length and breadth of India and even the world over. In it is enshrined the very nature of success and most importantly the path to conquering our destiny. Swami Swaroopananda expounds the eternal relevance of this popular hymn and the qualities of Lord Hanuman, drawing parallels to daily life and how we could emulate Lord Hanuman. Exploring karma, the fruits of our actions, our responsibility to ourselves, the very nature of destiny and how we should envision it through invaluable inputs gleaned from the scriptures, Swamiji awakens us to important life truths. Along this interesting one hour journey, experience anecdotes as only Swamiji can deliver them and a certified experience of inner Peace!
Swami Swaroopananda, a disciple of the world-renowned Master of Vedanta, and champion of India's spiritual wisdom, Swami Chinmayananda, spreads the timeless message of Vedanta into the most motivating, effective and relevant way of life for modern man, woman and child. He is the Regional Head of Chinmaya Mission UK, Australia and the Far East and the Director of Chinmaya International Residential School in Coimbatore, India, where Swamiji presently is based.

Shi Swaroopananda, I would like to share a story with you. Just want to let you know that I was having problems keeping a job I had found with great difficulty and someone said do the 9 day Sai Vrat and also read Hanuman Chalisa with absolute surrender and surely your wish would come true! I followed the advice to the "T" asking Sai Baba and Hanumanji to help me keep the job and make things better for me. And after 9 days of Vrat and consistent recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa twice a day everyday, I got kicked out from the job despite giving my blood and sweat! Can you or someone else please tell me why this has happened to me if Hanuman Chalisa is so powerful?!!

Good talks. But Va+nara does not mean monkey. Just the way tomorrow when we become history, we are not 'symbolic' of anything but actual people who lead real lives, Ramayana characters were real historical people. Vanara were a different species as mentioned in Valmiki Ramayana. Va means air and Nara means water. Meaning a species in which the air and water tattavas are strongly manifest. In humans its mainly Nara which is water although other tattvas are also present. That is why among riddhi siddhis it is mentioned that one can fly literally. Just because the word vanara sounds similar to 'bandar' which in Hindi means monkey does not mean they were same species. Hanumanji and his group were born with many riddhi-siddhis which cannot be achieved if they had mind like a monkey so it is illogical to say they represent monkey-mind. With the best of intentions if one is saying wrong things due to lack of research it is very very sad for Hinduism.

You are spot on ! I'm fact science confirms that there were many species of homosapiens coexisting with the modern man initially which later on disappeared .
