As someone who used to build custom cabinets for airplanes, honeycomb aluminum is what we used. Instead of wood glue and wood, we built them out of honeycomb aluminum and epoxy. But building the cabinetry out of this aluminum is almost the same was building it out of wood. We used the same tooling (drills, tablesaws, bandsaws, etc.) Instead of painting both sides, you can also cover it with veneer and you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between this and actual wood, except when you went to pick it up!
For about $100,00.00 it's definitely worth the money. Of course not many people have that kind of money to spend so it will not be seen on the road much. Love how much detail ya'll put in the videos though. I'm used to 20-30 minutes on RV walkthroughs but ya'll kill it with the hour videos and showing it's capabilities.
What happened to the Conqueror UEV-19? I still see the smaller units on the market but no sign if the 19. What's the story? It probably had one of the best layout overall.
I like your hour long presentations of different off road trailers. I am so glad several excellent quality, well built, great materials, company stands behind what they sell, trailers available.
Fab video Shane and ROA crew! Love the trailer and it has some cool features that my current rig doesn’t have but I’m still very happy with it, thanks to your awesome customer service. Happy Holidays!
Shane and the team at ROA, Great job on the video. I think the videos are awesome! By watching the walkthrough videos and other useful info videos it helped me to decide which trailer was right for my personal situation. I bought a UEV-490 in June from you guys. I’m sure my wife would have preferred the UEV-19….lol. But this UEV-19 would be too heavy for our vehicle, so I still feel I made the correct choice for our situation. I still have an awesome trailer that will go where my vehicle will go and I thank you for doing these awesome videos. I am very glad that we became Roamers and I look forward to the next Roamer event.
Great video. I don’t mind a long detailed video when it is actually showing the RV and not a looser and his beautiful family enjoying the landscape. Keep the camp fire rants. I enjoyed that. When are you going to pay Homage to Air stream, Volkswagen Beetle, Bowler rv, Lazy dayz , camp world, good Sam??? Can’t forget- Cracker Barrel and Walmart, Leisure way, pleasure way, coachmen etc….
Obi, does not take care of their customers. If the manufacturer does not back up their product. The dealers are going to stop selling Obi's product. Obi, has a great product but terrible customer service.
@@FuryonKnight Obi is the same company that manufactures conqueror trailers in mesa az.. actually they do not manufacturer the trailers, trailers are shipped in from China . Obi, is essentially the middle man. Great trailers just terrible customer service. That’s why Roa is not selling the conqueror , Obi trailers.
Great video! Seems like this this vehicle has a ton of exciting features! Friendly advice - since you really liked the attachable trash can on the inside of the door, I’d look up “Murphy Doors” For doors, I’d suggest think abt thinking them as a four door system - like the way you would open up a box type package - this leads way to creating more storage space. For sinks, I’d look up “Workstation sinks” and get a “cutting board with four storage containers” fitted into the sink to create extra kitchen top counter space - for the cutting board sink cover concept I would look at a RU-vid video by “Enes” (sorry I can not pronounce his last name at the moment although it starts with a “Y”) at the Dembell motorhome video “the most futuristic motormome” I think the title is called (I’m paraphrasing) and see the kitchen setup - For the kitchen id also look up “Prepdeck” for meal prep For living room, I’d look up sobro coffee table For bedroom: I’d look up “smart bed” from Jubilee furniture Then I’d customize a bedframe once one has been selected and cosomize it to add “Sobro side tables” into it. I’d also look at the back of the vehicle of “Lehel by Alexanders” this could lead way to inspiration for our door entertainment/storage possibilities. If you look up Volkner RV you can see a roof deck made from solar panels between glass slates for fencing. Hopes this offers help if not a bit of inspiration!
Beautiful rig with all the bells and whistles. Surprised they went with Renogy for their solar and inverter rather than Victron. I would also love to see dimmers rather than just on/off on the lights. And shut off valves at every sink, shower and the toilet.
Shane, I need the offspring of X195 and UEV-19! Exterior compartments, exquisite entry door, King bed size, battery placement, dining booth of the UEV-19. Solar power, true 4 seasons insulation and MTB rack of the X195🤌
Here is the problem. Near 6k lbs dry is a huge problem, getting stuck is dramatically increases. Other than fire roads, no thanks. I appreciate the tough less and rad suspension....the question is, will the $$ spent on these great features ever be utilized?
I think the Bruder EXP8 is better engineered and has better all round build quality and uses better materials, especially in the chassis which is probably the area you need to concentrate in an off road trailer.
My wife and I just finished watching the video. Very nice trailer. Love the king size bed and the shower. I like that y’all can make it 4 seasons that’s important to me. All the plumbing is inside but the tanks are exposed but I’m assuming y’all have something for them as well. You answered my one questions about the toilets, my favorite is still the Separett. Great video as usual guys and this is definitely one to consider in the future.
Walked by the little pop up style one today, looking at other rigs. Looking for something like this, but omg that little sucker was amazing. Can't wait to see a 19
Great video, love the detail and explanation of features. A beast of a trailer and well thought-out. Any plans/possibility to do one like this for the EXP-8?
What's the ideal temperature range to roam with this rig? Out of the box. Love the new Friday appointment sessions. Great videos. I'm sure you can bring this baby to 4 seasons. Can't wait to see the results.
The cabinetry got me. Overall workmanship, design and everything else was good, but I been burnt by bad cabinetry before and this is pretty much is not likely to ever go bad. This product just slipped into number one spot right there. Now, I just gotta find out who stocks it right here in South Africa where it is from and made
Just found your vids. My very picky sis loved watching your vid: suspension, bed, dishes, bath. BUT the possibility of not having to touch a black tank!! via incinerator sold her on how great this could be. Sooo, I don’t do true jeep trails, just back road trails. I would love it just for the suspension. My question, having an older RV, what type of connection points are all of the cabinets used to secure to the walls? After 9 years of earthquake washboards/potholes/etc, the heavier items secured to the walls are separating from it. (Every year, I end up fixing different items). Are you guys using heavy duty anchors for your screws. ….Just give it a thought…thx.
Everyone needs to keep in mind that these are not four season at all. Not even a little bit, it's basically a cardboard box with an aluminum skin on the outside.
Shane & Team 🤩 do you guys think you'd be able to Garmin up this puppy? I love the Marine style of this rig. Very spacious and functional. It needs the xplore X22 toilet, winter package (let see on Friday if you could dig into this). The Pa''use is fantastic looking but lacks the space that one has. Specially the dinnette/desk han out area. Love your videos.
Hey Shane. I heard you stopped selling the Black Series because of many issues they had. They now have a good quantity in a dealership here in New Mexico. I’m having second thoughts of buying one, because of poor quality. You had raved about them at the beginning. I’m in love with this off-road your showing.
I heard that BS was really good in the beginning and at one point there really was nothing else available. ROA was one of the first. I heard they just went south after year one or two. It is pretty telling if the first people selling and promoting it dropped them.
@@joseph4x463.BS is100% Made in China and is assemble here after it comes out of a shipping container. I am not bashing Chines made products or companies because most of them are made very well and they tell us where they are made like KIA. But BS tries to cover up or under play it as much as they can so that Americans will buy it and to only mention it if it was directly asked. I know this because I was a Factory Rep.for a very short time , I quit because of personal reasons. So I am not a disgruntle employee that is out to bash them. I am writing this because I think with how rugged the trailer looks and expensive the trailer is one would think you would be getting the best of the best and that is not the case. And its not the dealers fault because they think the same thing and they don't know the issues they have until the customer buys one and it breaks. The Factory has a very poor dealership service support canter and warranty process, So It could be very difficult to get things repaired when you need to. AND YOU WILL NEED TO.. One reason is they use a lot of cheap stuff made in China and they cant get replacement parts because the part isn't made anymore or which part is in your trailer due to COVID they use different companies which all use different replacement parts instead of sticking with the brands that everyone carriers parts for. To prove my point go pair your phone to the bluetooth and it will probably speak Chines to you and no one knows how to change the settings to English even in the factory. My recommendation is when buying a trailer like this that you buy it from a dealer that has a very good service dept. with techs that know how to service them. They are not your typical trailer , Which I am sure you already know!
I’m concerned about the bottom being completely exposed. Could be easily damaged. Will the manufacturer do something about that? Other than that, a nice trailer.
Great video , considerable efforts to honestly show all the details 👍🥇. I love this trailer for the King size bed , the Fridge , the dinette and the bathroom & huge shower . My biggest concern is : 1- How it will be like in very hot temperatures in the summer when it is 120 F outside , with this ducted small Aircondition and this wall and ceiling insulation ? I bet you will need maybe an additional ceiling 12 Volts Unit , to help cooling inside this box and keep it comfortable 24/7 . But then you will limit the Solar panels numbers . Can you still add some solars to make it more than a 1000 watts to run that A.C. and charge a 1100 Amp lithium battery 🔋 bank ? 2. My son is 6 feet 2 inches , will he be able to sleep on that Dinette bed 🛌? Or do you have any other solutions? 3- I hate cassette toilets , can you modify it with a black tank ? If these points are solved 💡, then I am a definite buyer 💵💳 Thank you again for the great video and for answering my questions. 🌹 Keep the great Job up 👍🏅
while the outside looks very much like the Crawler Batu, the interior looks way more comfortable compared to the Crawler which ... well ... looks just sturdy, but not comfortable
Hey Mr Right Here, where is the video that proves that when your driving rough, nothing falls out of the cabinets storages mm? Should we take your word for it? Mr Sales mun?
my concerns with what most likely be a 3-4ton trailer on it's own to whether or not it should have a 3 axle for off road use especially when you pass 23-25 feet in cabin space and whether or not the vehicle i tow will be be suitable to tow with when factoring in 2.5ton or higher tow vehicle.. it isn't the matter of the get up and go the vehicle has it is the capacity to stop you you need to consider.. I find most people build product in this space it is not the capacity of the axle you use it's the capacity of the tires being used to whether they on road and off road use as once you go over 2 ton in weight capacity in metal you risk tire blowout because of weight which may blow a hole into the cabin space..
I am totally impressed with this Conqueror UEV-19! Awesome presentation. I was in the market to upgrade from my DIY van conversion to a Class B RV AWD model. After watching this video I may reconsider. I will message you regarding price and wait time. I would also love to join your ROA organization.
Curious with a fairly large trailer like this, how do you deal with sway control on road? Doesnt seem like that hitch would be compatible with any mitigation systems
You can check out this tow test here. We towed it and it tows amazing. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eSoNTKoGiw0.html Also, we can install friction and weight distribution systems on these trailers. We do it all the time with these types of hitch’s.
Great video but I don't remember hearing the price? (or I was distracted at the time), everything looks great, although I would love to see this in a 5th wheel design
Excellent video. Great info. I'm just dying to know the cost or ballpark figure of that awesome beautiful amazing independent suspension leveling system if possible. Ty Ps. Good to know there is a space for bodies😆
!!UUHHMM....MY MAN?!?!?!.......@13:50-55 DID I SEE THAT AXLE CROSSBAR HIT THAT STRUCTURE WHEN THE SUSPENSION WAS ARTICULATING?!?! I slowed it down to .5 to make sure but I think so Big Guy.
The Xplore 195 is made by Imperial Outdoors and they claim -40 degrees. No trailer on the market or in the world that we are aware of makes these claims. The Conqueror UEV19 stock is made for 3 seasons. ROA has an upgraded version that is four seasons that will get you comfortable in winter.
Hey Robert! Check out out Mod Squad series, we have been working on a package to make the UEV-19 winter capable. We have a playlist on our channel, but we've gotten it down to 0 degrees! There is also more info on our website about specs and cost www.roaoffroad.com
