Conrail Operations on the Layout in HO Scale

First off I want to thank everybody who has subscribed to the Channel as my Dad and myself appreciate this very much.So Dad has been working on the layout with some track work and fixing up some engines and cars.So today Dad wanted to try out doing some operations with some train wating for other trains to go by and have a train switching thr yard.This was a test to see how it would come out and hope you enjoy the video.
Also we want to wish everybody a Merry Chirstmas & Happy New Year !

Those CR Geeps sound like Good Ol' Athearn BlueBoxes...my father stands by the BB...I'm thininking of doing everything mechanical (DC) with DCC ready locos to run at other layouts.

Those Conrail units are all Athearn Blue boxes as that was what was available at the time when my dad did these.As for DC that is what we have as it would cost us alot to convert but everybody is different but I would go on what you are planning to do.Thxs for watching the video.

Like the conrail blue, was wondering where you got the sd40-2 Altoona locomotive, that is nice!

Hi Richard,Thanks for the kind words and wayching the video.I have photos from Altoona back in the 90's. as I chased it when I was back there for a wedding.This was a Athearn SD40-2 with alot of detail parts and Microscale decals .If you need more info get back with me and I will try to answer them for you.

Hi David, My Dad and myself have DC as It would cost ALOT of money to do close to 300 engines to change them to DCC..Im glad you enjoyed the video and thxs for watching & subscribing
