Ruku'aat (ع) is paragraph or passage. You know that one chapter in the Qur'an can talk about many different themes or events or stories, right. Ruku'aat (ع) is used to mark a different theme so when you read the Qur'an you don't stop in the middle of the theme or story. This is what I know about Ruku'aat (ع). My Qur'an teacher told me if I'm gonna stop in the middle of a Surah, then stop at Ruku'aat (ع) so that I don't cut the story or theme. Hope it helps you ✌🏼
