Here is the answer from a former McDonald's employee: Once a day you need to clean the tubing and all the little parts in the icecream machine. You have to take it apart and put all the parts in a bucket with a sterilization tablet that cleans them. That's why usually they don't have ice cream late at night. Sometimes the managers (like mine) are genuinely dumb and struggle to put the parts back together and then it breaks the machine. As for why they wouldn't have icecream during the day, usually it's genuinely broken. LOL

It’s so hard to let someone who you looked up to and loved for YEARS go. I still come back to these videos but feel guilty like I’ll be judged for “supporting” him. These videos helped me cope in rough times and make me genuinely happy. I think Shane’s worst mistake was disassociating himself with his past. I still will come back willingly to videos a few times a year probably and watch them to cheer me up. I love Shane and always will, but he needs to realize that his RU-vid career is sadly most likely coming to a close. It’s honestly upsetting.

Ahmed Elsheikh that’s because security cameras typically store at least 24 hours of footage, and if they are in HD it would take up too much storage capacity. If security cams were in higher resolution they wouldn’t be able to store the video for nearly as long. It’s not malicious, it’s just about data capacity!

i work at mcdonald's guys. and i can confirm that the machine actually is always broken. it has to go thru a heat cycle every time you turn it on and if it fails it we aren't allowed to sell them and they the company that sold them the machine has to come fix it and they always take so long to come do it. edit: he is right tho, like ice cream at mcdonald's is one of the products that requires a lot of time to make and people get super mad at us when they have to wait so from time to time we've had to stop selling ice cream because it's just too busy and people are too rude

What bothers me is that people want to look at videos made YEARS ago, and then act like the person is still 100% the same way they used to be. Like, yes, Shane made some questionable choices back then. But it's very clear that he's not the same person he was then. I really don't know what he has to do to prove to people that he's changed. And it's not just him. Some people really don't want to let others live down the past, no matter how much they've changed.

Just because something happened in the past doesn't mean the person has grown from it, and Shane still resorting to the usual tactics of saying stuff like "bad jokes" and "the old me" and distancing himself from his racism and/or gross behavior with children/animals etc. Seems to show a misunderstanding of why those things are bad. It's so clear Shane is just sorry he got caught since so much of his channel leading up to the big meltdown was forgiving past awful (all interestingly white) people like Tana Mongoose, Jeffree Star, and Jake Paul. He'd write their wrongs not because they learned (as evidenced by each of them getting into similar drama or even illegal activity after his dumb vlogs on them) but because they did things in the past. We have to treat past behavior as what it is, something happened and could continue to happen, not something that's just magically gone because it was a while ago.

He's even trying to start a family, and people still keep throwing the past right back in his face, even things he apologized for. Did he do and say some fucked up shit? Yeah. Should that mean he can never move on? No. I just don't know what it's supposed to accomplish by constantly bringing up his old mistakes.

@Ahtziry Plascencia no matter how long ago it was, it was damaging. we have to understand that he didn’t just say the n-word or anything, he did absolutely the worse thing you could do, he made sexual jokes to children and sexualized children multiple times. whether it was 1 month ago or 10 years ago, it doesn’t change the fact that what he did was criminal behavior. i’m not the biggest fan of cancel culture, but this guy isn’t defendable.

When Shane was first exposed, he wasn't temporarily 'cancelled'. Do you know why? Because half the things he did was literally illegal. It wasn't some past insensitive tweets (well it was but that wasn't it), it was accusations that were actually against the law. Me saying that isn't an opinion or drama to be shared but fans brush it off as that anyways and in my 'opinion' that's a gross thing to do.

Currently a mcdonalds employee, the machine does in fact break down a lot at our location and I dread telling people when it’s down.
