This chest workout was no joke. We headed to Madtown Fitness and crushed our chest. This chest workout we tried not to lockout to keep the tension on the muscle as much as possible. I have with me my good friend Kadu Fernandes. Kadu is a beast as you will see when he takes the 150LB dumbbells for a ride.
Give this workout a try and let me know how pumped your chest got.
Make sure you follow Kadu on IG: @Kadufm

John Meadows is an American professional bodybuilder and entrepreneur with an intriguing story. While John now boasts a successful career as an IFBB Pro bodybuilder and fitness company owner, his journey towards the top was extremely difficult.
Growing up, John never met his father, and his mother died at an extremely young age. This meant John only had his grandmother to take care of him. When his grandmother tragically passed away in 1999, John was left alone without his family to support him.
As the years went by, John continued to face new adversities in his life. During his early days in bodybuilding, John suffered from a rare colon disease. After fighting the disease for several months, his colon burst - almost resulting in his death. Luckily, John was quickly rushed to an emergency room where his life was saved. After several months of recovery, John was finally back on his feet.
Coming back into bodybuilding, John used the very obstacles that almost cost him his life as ‘fuel’ to grow stronger. Ever since he recovered from the colon surgery, John has gone on to become a successful bodybuilder, entrepreneur, and inspiration for many people all over the world.

At such times i always tell myself the muscle doesn't know or care how many reps or what weight its lifting, all it knows is the stress and intensity you are putting it under. if you take the set to failure until the muscle is fatigued it doesn't matter if it's 9 reps or 10.

So, - On heavy compounds. Work up to a heavy set of 6-8 reps or upto form failure. - Isolation work 3-4 hard sets of 10-12-20 reps. Workup in weights. End with a fun set, partials, slow negs, isoholds, drops and my favourite rest pauses. - Feeder sets and then go up in weight as long as one can't do a target number of reps with proper form. Does that sum up most of the techniques?

Excellent point you made about as long as you're training w intensity dont worry about the weight. Personally I believe people get to caught up in how much weight they want to use as oppose to how controlled and proper technique used. Bottom line if you're into How much I can lift then you're Not training towards bodybuilding but more as a power lifter.

Great video, strong boys! Never been one for a log book, can see the rationale especially at beginning forming habits. However, I'm with you John, heavy is what's heavy on the day. Sometimes, you feel great and then have a so so workout other times I've felt not up for it and had an awesome workout, especially on legs! Other times, I've felt rubbish and performed rubbish! I always tell newer lads, don't get hung up on weight, heavy is what's heavy on the day. The fact you're in the gym training when most people would cry off already puts you in an elite! Regards from England.

Simple fix I’ve come up with for the dips to stay more upright. Belt and weights to the rear instead of hanging weights to the front. It will tilt you back and not forward. The Peel technique. Chains around the neck will just drag you forward.

@MadTownFitness

The mural is of an incredible guy named Dave Parks that was a big member of our community. He unfortunately passed away this past year, but he made a positive impact on a lot of us and a friend and mentor. He was kind of like John, he was basically the father figure for half of the gym! Lol. He was a Madison police officer for about 20 years and started the K-9 unit for Madison. He also put some amazing numbers up back in the 80s, he was one of Bill Kazmaier’s training partners! We’ve had a few people get upset about the blue line, but there’s no question that mural is staying up for good!

Hi all. Please take time to read I really need help. So I'm 15 years old, have been lifting for little over a year (14 months) and it has truly become a passion. So I have been bulking for around 2 months now after a small cut that I did after summer and I feel like shit. I'm around 75kg/165lbs and on a 3000kcal lean bulk more or less (I was tracking for a bit and now I'm intuitively eating) which consists of I would say 80% "clean" foods. I've been running a PPL split with 1 rest day a week with some cardio here and there for maybe around 6 months which I've been constantly adjusting and improving. From 4 months to around 10 months into the start of my lifting journey I've seen the best strength and visual gains of my entire fucking life but the rate of my progress has slowly been decreasing since (which I guess is normal newbie gains and all but I could still be in that phase). Anyways fast forward to now my techique is improving every single workout and I'm constantly upping the intensity (I mean my effort output), no ego lifting literally 0 momentum however my pumps are almost non-existent, my sleep quality is shit, I haven't lost strength but have been gaining but really REALLY slowly, I have been having digestive problems, my muscles are looking as flat as ever. I'm sluggish, lazy, tired, moody and bloated. My sex drive is at an all time low. The motivation and fire I had in me is going away. This was a gradual process since around 2.5 months now (at the end of my mini cut and start of my bulk). I have suffered from overreaching once or twice in the last 3 months I think. Hell I felt better on my cut of 2000kcal than now and my pumps were better too. And I just came off a vacation of 2 weeks where I went all out on eating but kept training so that definitely didn't help cause I'm in the worst place right now. So what the actual fuck is happening? Thank you for reading this long post and if you need additional info just tell me.
