Drinking a 8-16 oz water bottle every morning 30 on an empty stomach before breakfast, oatmeal for breakfast, steamed veggies with most of my lunches, yogurt for a snack and going on long walks everyday is what finally helped me with constipation. I no longer have to PUSH when on the toilet it just slides out smoothly. Goodluck everyone.
When I am even slightly constipated, everything gets worse. More body pain, more stress, more anxiety, worse sleep, more cravings, etc. I'd love for you to touch on how the gut/constipation affect these facets.
Suffer with constipation for so long.. sometimes i even bleed due to chronic constipation..thank You for this relevant information..new subscriber here👍
I adore my GI doctor. I had a massive gi bleed. MGH saved my life ❤️. I got liver cancer twice and finally a liver transplant 8 ½ years ago. Daniel Pratt played a huge role in my life. His caring and calmness went a long way. What a beautiful person to get me through so much. A shout out to intervention radiology and liver transplant doctors and team.
Informative video! I find drinking warm water regularly throughout the day helps with constipation. Hydration is so important in battling constipation. Prebiotics and probiotics help as well. For myself, cardio exercise and yoga help in addition to the others I’ve listed here.
There's definitely a gut/brain connection because I used to have the most painful BM's I would dread every bathroom visit. Then I started meditating and within about a week I started having pain free BM's. I know there is some sort of connection there.
That's how my chronic constipation started. I'm going to stray away from being too graphic, but I had a really bad stomach virus and it gave me really bad runs. Let's just say the constant need to use the bathroom ended up leaving me raw and battle-scarred. I started fearing going for as long as the pain remained, and then it became a problem where I literally could not go anymore without strain. Even with a proper diet and exercise, it just became a chronic issue. I miss the feeling of being empty.
I've been living with constipation ever since i was a little child. It became worse as I grew older, and i must say, it comes with a lot of difficulties in my daily life. I can barely eat one square meal in a day now😢 it is really saddening to have to live in pain everyday
# if somebody is in RestRoom for more than 60 seconds, that means, there is a constipation problem. ----------------------------------------------- How to take MORNING WATER ( after 6 am ) ? As per Dr Manthena garu, Vijayawada, India # Drink 750 ML luke warm water WITHIN 5 MINUTES # Chew the water like coffee, to make it Alkaline Water with the help of Saliva. # Again, Drink another 250 to 500 ML water after 20 minutes. Note : If 10L water is taken in 20 installments in a day, this is of no use. The idea is to take lots of water at a time. Expect excellent & 100% guaranteed results in the health within 1 week.
But don't give up hope dear. In life we find ourselves facing difficult situations. Happy and sad times, it's a part of life. Don't loose hope in Jesus, no matter how hard try to always believe "Our Redeemer Lives"
I've been consistently constipated for around 8 months now. All started from a mild batch of constipation, then quickly escalated and now I'm constantly backed up. Let me tell you, it is a TERRIBLE feeling when you can feel how blocked your insides are, but no relief is in sight whatsoever.
Oh lord, i can't fathom how you must be feeling, I had constipation just today and my anus hurt like shit and it's swollen too, so to constipate for 8 months is unimaginable to me. Hope you find a way and get well soon.
@@jasrakhan8974 drink a lot more water. use a stool softener like some kind of laxative every day. whatever you do, dont try to push the stool out as hard as you can. you will have extreme pain in the upper part of the colon and also back pain
I have Mitochondrial Myopathy Disease & suffer badly from constipation. Two years ago it got so bad, I was scheduled for a colonoscopy yet due to Covid 19, my 30 day wait turned into still waiting for it in the Public hospital system that last year, my lovely Uncle paid for it in a Private hospital. I ended up having an internal prolapse, which I had never heard of before, inflamed stomach & an inflamed bowel. The prolapse was repaired though I think due to my disease, I will suffer from constipation for the rest of my life. (I'm 49). Thank you Doctor for this insightful video.
Oh man. That really sucks. Due to the same crap, I’ve been rescheduled 3 times since last May. I hope that you’re ok. I’m so glad that my liver transplant was 8 years ago. My family was able to visit me. Now they only allow one visitor a day. If the go out to get a bite to eat, they can’t come back. Those visits meant so much to me.
I hate living with constipation. I get bloated, feel sluggish, and have no appetite. So I've been living on laxatives. Then I suddenly have to go really bad. I really cannot go anywhere because I have a phobia of pooping in a public place. It is a huge nuisance!
Chew kodiak long cut winter green . Returns normal function. I did China dieters tea as well. Strongest laxatives on earth. Micro dose evening at home. 2 minutes steeping and bent over in pain. Lol. My big colon works bit better still. Smell kodiak and swallow sylvia. Always swallow sylvia. More water. I used to use 2 black coffees after some castor oil. Kodiak chew work rate away. Get buzz harsh. Then tastes sweeter after that... chew opens up intestines. Feel healthy... just like your healthy. 10 bucks a can. Cook food softer. I do soft boiled eggs. Natural milk works but fattening. Grapes to but sugar fattening. Oat meal works awesome usually. If not allergic or wheat allergies.... or grizzle chew is copy of kodiak. Easy safest feel good fix... doctor out west probably do iv therapy for intestines... treat digestive organs. Nothing works with out enough water..
Thanks, Dr. Ho. I've GOT to increase hydration. By the way, I find an absolutely sure speed-up is simply to eat two kiwifruit with each meal. Guarantees regularity. Without it, guarantees constipation. A hospitalized friend once grimly complained of days of miserable constipation. I said he should eat three kiwifruit. Later he said very gratefully it had sure solved that problem.
Absolutely I also find kiwi great for Constipation, I ate at night before bad it is effective for next morning, but for evening its not much effective if I eat at noon.
Thank you so much. This is hands down the best video to explain constipation. It’s clear why it has over 1M views. The animation helps me to wrap my mind around the situation.
Thank you so much for explaining the anatomy of how digestive works. I have fibroids that affect me of slow digestion that produces horrible stomach pain and enlarged hard feces. Been to ER a few times and one ER doctor suggested a gastroenterologist referral - which I have pending right now for appointment as it could be a partial bowel blockage from the excessive mass of my fibroids, enlarged uterus lining and enlarged ovaries. I am carrying around constant estimated 24 to 25 cm of expressive clutter in my pelvic and stomach region. I had an acute pancreatitis attack also. Cholesterol and glucose levels were fine and triglycerides were normal levels at the ER - when pain happened. I have completely changed my diet of no carbs and fresh fruits and veggies. And the constipation does not exist with heavy menustration produced by fibroids - but it does when not menustration. I haven't consumed alcohol in almost 15 years. My primary believes the gastrointestinal issues I am having is from the fibroids and ER doctor too. But my OB/Gyn believes otherwise not taking the severity of higher BMI from fibroids and all the problems they cause for other organs. My BMI was 28 when acute pancreatitis and bowels problem pains begin. I am down to 25 BMI now and my fibroids nor reproductive organs have not shrunk - but - they haven't grown. Females were meant to feel 9 months pregnant- as fibroids can do. So just sharing another viewpoint of why constipation and slow digestion can occur also. Fibroids create many female problems and I don't feel enough studies are done of the complete health risks they do to digestion, the bladder and what higher BMI fibroids produce to cause problems in the abdomen and to other organs and even to the knees and joints and back and neck pains because of carry excessive mass bulk of fibroids. I will have a hysterectomy my OB/Gyn will do after holidays end. But for now - its trying to find natural solutions to ease the complications. Turmeric, ginger, garlic, and coconut oil as various teas daily seem to help keep inflammation down and has helped constipation and digestion pains, I drink plenty of water and walk average 10 to 15 miles a week and have for years.
Very informative content got explained with a very great detail, thank you I totally agree food high in fibre do work really well so do incorporate as much fruit and green leaves as possible you will never look back
Great video. Concise, to-the-point, informative animation and good explanations. Thanks Dr. Can chronic constipation lead to fatty liver or gallbladder stones?
Excellent video & now subscribed too. My issue has been going on for yrs but has increased a lot over the last few months (i'm 59). I was told around 10 yrs ago i have a lot of polyps but nothing was done. I currently have to have a spoonful of Ducolax every 3 or 4 days, if i dont i get blocked & my back & sides hurt. My colonoscopy appointment ( which I've waited for for 6 weeks) has just been cancelled yesterday as their machine has broke !!! Nowadays is not the time to be ill in the u.k.
@@khyecoates6258 stomach issues seems to have improved a lot. Mainly through NOT stressing out. I also eat a lot more fruit and drink 1 Yakult per day.
Wow I am very much impressed with the knowledge you gave us, I have learned a lot that I just couldn't reason in the previous days Thank you so much Doc🙏
I have to give props to the animation team they did a good job making that poop travel. 😂 no but really it was very informational, and helps those of us who are visual learners.
I'm watching this video as I was studying so i came in youtube for better understanding,by the way I was also suffering from constipation but now it is ok ,what i have been doing is drinking bottle of water before going in to restroom,i think so it gonna help you guys also, try this method.
I've dealt with constipation my whole life. The running joke in my family is that only dynamite in my colon can get me to go 😁 I started taking Metamucil and it has helped a lot.
I’m not a doctor and I was hoping this doctor who created this video would respond to your post and my post. My doctor told me to take the off the counter Magnesium every day and to add a tablespoon of that white Fiber powder in my glass of water to help reduce symptoms of constipation. That white fiber powder is pretty much like Metamucil but I prefer it over Metamucil; it’s also tasteless.
@@justjoy7194 No surgery. I was one of those kids that only went to the bathroom at home. Maybe years of holding it in at school and work gave me what they call lazy bowels. If I go twice a week, it's a miracle.
I increased vegs intake and kept water intake the same (drink when only thirsty)...and it helped a lot with constipation even if i didnt eat enough for the day.
I enjoyed the video of the woman going deficate. It was a good video. She was very attractive and you could definitely see she is straining. Please have more videos of her taking her manure. Excellent video. Thank you.
Finally found an expert and explain it very well!! I want to ask doc what's your take on water enema to help cure the constipation? Thank you inadvance 🥺
Hehehe, I loved the name "Gutdr" hehehe; but I also loved the 3D video, I love this kind of videos. Thank you very much for the information and animation Dr. 😊
My doctor prescribed Miralax but I'm constantly constipated and is nothing new. I just took Miralax 6 days ago and I still had no movement. I had to end up giving myself an enema. I then changed my diet to kimchi, sweet potato, avocado, kale, and chicken/eggs depending on the time of day. I regularly drink a gallon of water a day in increments of 20oz. For 2 1/2 days after I started I was constipated all over again. I just gave myself another enema 2 hours ago. I'm about to move to a liquid diet because this is too much. I'm 41 and constipation runs in my family to an extreme level. I just want to beat it.
Hi- I was prescribed the same and did not realize I was supposed to be taking it every single morning. It’s been about a year since I started doing that and while I still have problems, I am happily at-least having BM daily.
I found slugging water at times helped vs per half hour. Couple times drink bit extra. Kodiack chew winter green can make healthy in 24 hours. Releases the bind fir some reason. Relaxes and things start working. Swear by it .
My son has a intestine cancer that's why he suffers from constipation for that would you please suggest me how it'd be convenient to stop blockage, or will you please tell me the foods that'd help him to stop from this pain .. And he is so weak that he rarely can go to washroom so exercise isn't possible for him... Hope to see your response very soon
I have neurogenic bowel from MS. At times my bowels will just shut down. Laxatives won't touch it & if not careful I wind up in the ER getting poked, prodded, scoped, violated, and ultimately given several large volume enemas. My GI doc ordered regular scheduled enemas (2 a week). That was working quite well until I lost my health Assistant, who had been coming over weekly to assist.
I did enjoy and learn something in this video doc! 😊 My tummy is distended abnormally and it feels like I've gulped down a balloon. Idk if it's due to fluid accumulation, flatulence or an infection related thing. But it's really uncomfortable to stay like this. My breathing got shorter and faster lately too because of this. Daily activities are reduced and I'm feeling lazier. And I fart like hundred times a day
I'm watching this cuz I've struggled w constipation last week(now I'm relieved... Holy shit it' was a big nightmare to me i can't push out i can't keep inside .... Back story: I wasn't aware that I'm gonna suck in next up coming week, and gone to take poo as a regular basic bish type,i feel uncomfortable to push that thingy out but nope i failed and pushed so hard like i was a she Hulk or sth and there you go ... it's the first time ever i saw this hardest stool before...okay whatever.....i was okay pushing to the extent and it's out, thought now i can happily live my life but there's more after that i started feeling burning sensation down there and i was like it's fine and next day,wow i still remember the pain.... i can't even push out i felt like I'm pushing some needles out and then i checked there's a tear(my bum hole slightly has two cuts ; the size "()" cuz pushing so hard the other day and slightly one - two drops of blood in stool .......you guys don't believe the third day is the biggest day to push out, i can't help myself and tried so hard not to push out cuz if i push out the tear will get bigger idk that's what I felt and while pushing out I'm seeing a few drops of blood which made me scare even more... It' was so tight, TiGhter like hell .....the whole week i went thrice a day to take poo-each time I'm taking more than half an hour still hell....idk what helped(hot water, banana, walking, meditation, pampering my bum etc) now I'm relieved after a week of struggle ........now i really know what's the meaning of pain in azz" that line is no simple 🤷🏿♀️
i started working at a job this year, had to sit for about 8hrs, no exercises, less water intakes, and got piles due to this constipation. Now suffering from piles.
I have lost hope, I tried everything, still unable to poop , except very little, even laxatives doesn’t work properly, my stomach gives some kind of resistance and doesn’t allow bowel to empty
It started after I started having more frequent panic and anxiety attacks. The problem is I forgot how to breathe off the toilet I'm still breathing as if I'm pushing out a poop.
