Construct 3 tutorial - Platform swimming and water effects

In this video we will add the waves effect to the water and apply a warp effect to the player when he enters the water. This video wraps up the series. On to the next one!

Thanks a lot for as usual, great tutorial, hope to see you continue these mini series style of tutorials as I'm learning a lot of construct 3 though you. I think this is part 4, but it says in the title part 3. Wish you all the best moving forward.

Construct seems like something worth checking out.... Something different than Unity3D for once

It's a great engine for prototyping at the very least. It doesn't do 3D but is fully featured and capable of anything you'd need for prototyping or even publishing a 2D game. The learning curve is pretty low too. Especially if you learn from my tutorials lol ;)

hello is it possible that you could make a video about how to publish the game? or did you already do that? I am having trouble with it. I try getting admod, Twitter, etc... but nothing seems to be working or I'm just too dumb!??

Definitely NOT dumb! Programming isn't easy, that's why we all have to look up things and ask questions ALL THE TIME. This project is only the swimming mechanic and the visual effects. There's not really a "game" here. Is there something specific you're having trouble with? Also, are you working with the free or paid version of Construct 3?? (The 2 different versions have a few differences).

@@Marlin-Gamedev True. It not easy, and I am already in my 4th month of learning about making games... I am using the paid version. Your past training video helps me a lot... thanks you very much to get me through about creating games :-) I will do more creating now before I ask more as I tend to jump ahead of myself (my bad habits). The "swimming mechanic" is really cool... well, all your training videos are awesome. Hopefully, after all the "learning" that I got from you, I can start making money (don't want to be broke anymore) and people can enjoy playing my "construct game".

@@playingquest2withgamecomme883 You can ask questions at any time. I'll always do my best to give a good answer. I have not done any videos on publishing a game. I will definitely document my experience in publishing when I finally publish one of my own. I'm sure there are some videos out there on publishing a game in Construct. I haven't really looked around for any, so I'm not sure. I wish you luck on your journey. Stick with it and it will eventually work out!
