World of concrete 2024 was awesome, but one of my favorite booths was the Diablo setup. If you are a tradesmen, wood worker, construction fabrication, then you need to see what these new Diablo tools can do.
Also, more videos on world of concrete coming soon

9:10 . This is Bosch Tech, had those for a a couple of years in Germany and Europe. Since Diablo was bought by Bosch Gruppe they expanded their accessory range and now - for the better- you guys in the States get to enjoy what we had here in the EU for some years. From what I noticed from several different accessories, Diablo and Bosch Expert are 99% identical, probably made in the same factory. Love Bosch Expert and therefore also love Diablo. Bosch Expert is the European Diablo! So now you know.

Yes You are so right, Bosch changed everything We drilled super hard Fire and Chemica resistant Concrete 18" thick loaded with HT rebar used to take up to 4hrs for a 1" through hole and several carbide bits, big heavy corded Hilti drill, along came Bosch ONE bit Much lighter drill vertually the weight of the unit was enough to go through clean in 8 minutes and that was with NI CAD BATTERIES, not Lithium, back in 2005, Diablo was not around at least not in Australia. Hitachi made a better hammer drill machine but we still used the Bosch Bits.

I recently used the steel demon on the jobsite to trim the leg down on some 10' long steel channels. Cutting through 1/4" material I was able to get 10 cuts out of a blade (100') before we had to change them, they were still cutting, but noticeably slower than a new one. It was MUCH faster than cutting with cutoff wheels and looked a lot better as well, I was really impressed with what a good metal blade can accomplish now adays.

I always say I wish I was 30 with all these new technologies with tools and those blades man, I wish I had them when I was 19 framing and doing concrete. I'm a homeowner. Had considered using metal roofing on a small shed, but the instructions for the roofing said to use tin snips instead of saws or grinders because the heat would ruin the coating. But if these circular saw blades can cut without creating heat, this should be a game changer for roofers.

For sure impressive products, but the chopsaw isn't all that. I mean, do people still use the angle-grinder blades for chop-saws on heavy steel? I used a chop saw with carbide tipped blades first time at least 15 years ago, and they work the same as displayed here, most of the heat is taken away with the chips, just like in normal machining operations.

Holy cr*p! This totally changed my impression of Diablo as a company; I had no idea their carbide was so much better, nor that their cermet blades could be used to cut steel with a bog-standard 7 1/4” saw. (The key to all their steel-cutting whether it be rebar or structural sections is the high heat-tolerance. They *want* the steel to get super-hot right at the cutting edge because that makes it soft. Then they just shed all the heat in the chips so the stock itself stays cool.)

The one problem I have with Diablo blades is most of their Steel Demon blade are the "Thin Kerf" design. Issue is on my Makita Steel Saw (4131), the blade thickness (Thick and Medium,.063)is too thin to clamp between the backup flange and the clamping nut, I can only use one of the blades they have (Thin Metal , .087). Now I've used the other 2 but had to use a precision washer but found during heavy cuts the blade will warp and give an inconsistent cut...

To be fair,, I use cheap Diablo 6 1/2 framing blades and I have cut through 16d nails long ways (split them down the center) and didn't notice any difference after that. SO,, they already make incredible blades,, this is just an improvement on the old stuff.. Cut quality like in this video used to require a $6k cold saw with a very expensive specialty blade .....

Since diablo first hit the market, I have always told people diablo was the future of cutting tech, just like Simpson was the future of construction fastener tech. I love diablo products, this presentation was amazing. Their competitors, can only try to keep up, by offering products, copied from diablo's latest products.
