Car travelled time is 5m30sc , so 30sec is half of min, in that case car will travel 500meters in 30sec right, then measured scale is 5.5km

If he tells, it measures upto 25 km in the question then we should cut the line into 25 parts or not and he asked to show 17.5 km this is in the diagonal scales

The number of parts may vary depending on the question. We can divide it into 25 parts(waste of time in this cas) or else we can divide it into 10 parts which means each part is 2.5Km (25/10=2.5). Now to represent 17.5Km we need to mark 7th part which is obviously 17.5Km (as we made 10 parts each part is 2.5Km so 7x2.5=17.5) Hope you understood
