Is it okay to bring in my own knowledge into the case interview? For example, I had some prior knowledge about the battery, I know Tesla has 3 big battery supplier Panasonic LG. and CATL, and Telsa is also trying to building their own battery in house. Is it okay for me to confirm these information with the interviewer, or should I base my solution on the information provided by the interviewer solely?
I think you should confirm it to the interviewer if there are more than 1 supplier, because he might want to make it harder by providing that there is only 1 supplier.
I wish you would go over the case yourself and not have someone else sloving it, since the person might take the wrong approach and contaminate our own thinking process. It would also be more straightforward and shorter video
